Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de convertir l'éthylène présent dans un flux d'éthylène dilué, issu, par exemple, d'un produit de craquage catalytique en lit fluidisé, en hydrocarbures plus lourds. Le catalyseur peut être constitué d'un support amorphe en silice-alumine et d'un métal du groupe VIII et/ou VIB. Ledit catalyseur se montre résistant aux impuretés, telles que le sulfure d'hydrogène, les oxydes de carbone, l'hydrogène et l'ammoniac, apportées lors du processus d'alimentation. Au moins 40 % en poids de l'éthylène présent dans le flux d'éthylène dilué peut être converti en hydrocarbures plus lourds.
