- the transport mechanism 41 transports the composite 22, in other words, the exterior sheet 8 on which the absorbent core 9 is placed is transported in the MD direction (that is, in the transport process, the absorbent core 9 is placed). This is a step of conveying the outer packaging sheet 8 in the MD direction). Furthermore, the exterior sheet 8 is in a state in which most of the skin side surface is covered with the back sheet 7 when it is conveyed by the conveyance mechanism 41. That is, the transport mechanism 41 transports the exterior sheet 8 with the absorbent core 9 placed on the exterior sheet 8 via the back sheet 7. In addition, the back surface sheet 7 spreads from the one end side rising portion Bt to the other end side rising portion Bt in the width direction (see FIG. 9C).
- the bending jigs 45 and 46 perform the bending process described above, and two bending jigs 45 and 46 are provided in this embodiment.
- Each of the two bending jigs 45 and 46 includes a CD direction (in other words, an exterior sheet) that intersects the MD direction that is the transport direction of the exterior sheet 8 while the transport mechanism 41 transports the composite 22 including the exterior sheet 8. - FIG. 13 is a diagram showing a bending process performed by the bending jig 45.
- the composite 22 reaches a position where the bending jig 45 is provided in the MD direction, a portion of the exterior sheet 8 located near the folded portion Bd comes into contact with the bending jig 45. Then, as the composite 22 is conveyed downstream in the MD direction, one end in the width direction of the exterior sheet 8 is pulled so as to be wound in an inner winding shape, and the exterior sheet 8 is located at the turn-back location Bd. Wrapped around the fulcrum. Thereafter, when the folding of the exterior sheet 8 proceeds, as described above, the fulcrum is switched to the portion located at the rising portion Bt (that is, the first portion 8a), and the second portion 8b rests on the absorbent core 9.
- the composite body 22 including the exterior sheet 8 is in the state shown in FIG. 9C when it passes through the position where the bending jig 45 is provided in the MD direction, and the exterior sheet 8 is bent at the rising portion Bt. Get up for a minute.
- the suction mechanisms 47 and 48 perform a suction operation for bringing a predetermined portion of the exterior sheet 8 into close contact with the placing surface 43 of the conveying belt 42 when the bending process by the bending jigs 45 and 46 is performed.
- two suction mechanisms 47 and 48 are provided.
- One suction mechanism 47 is disposed inside the conveyance belt 42 on one end side in the CD direction, and the other suction mechanism 48 is provided in the CD direction and the like. It is arranged inside the conveyor belt 42 on the end side. Since the two suction mechanisms 47 and 48 have the same configuration and function, the function and the like will be described below by taking one suction mechanism 47 as an example.
- the suction operation performed by the suction mechanism 47 is an operation of sucking (intake) air through the vent hole 44 formed in the mounting surface 43.
- the vent hole 44 is formed in a range in which the bending jig 45 is provided in the MD direction on the mounting surface 43 (that is, a range where the bending process is performed).
- the vent hole 44 is formed in the inner half in the CD direction in the above range.
- the portion extending from the first portion 8 a to the end portion in the width direction of the third portion 8 c in the width direction It opposes the range in which the ventilation hole 44 of the mounting surface 43 is formed, and it does not oppose the range in which the ventilation hole 44 was formed about the other part (refer FIG. 13).
- the suction operation by the suction mechanisms 47 and 48 is an operation for bringing the outer sheet 8 into close contact with the mounting surface 43 from the first portion 8a to the third portion 8c in the width direction during the bending process. .
- the back sheet 7 is provided from the first portion 8a to the third portion 8c in the width direction when the exterior sheet 8 is placed on the placing surface 43. That is, the suction mechanism 47 performs a suction operation in a state where the back sheet 7 is provided on a portion of the exterior sheet 8 that faces the range where the vent holes 44 of the mounting surface 43 are formed. Since the back sheet 7 is a film having poor air permeability, the back sheet 7 is provided from the first part 8a to the third part 8c, whereby the back side surface of the exterior sheet 8 is arranged in the width direction from the first part 8a to the third part. The effect of closely contacting the mounting surface 43 over 8c can be further enhanced.
- the suction mechanism 47 performing the suction operation to bring the first portion 8a and the third portion 8c into close contact with the mounting surface 43, the first portion 8a and the third portion 8c are displaced during the bending process. Can be suppressed. Thereby, it can control that the 1st part 8a approaches the absorptive core 9 in the width direction during a bending process, and when the exterior sheet 8 is bent at the rising portion Bt, the above-described gap space Ss is formed in the exterior. It becomes ensured appropriately between the sheet 8 and the absorbent core 9.
- the suction mechanism 47 corresponds to a restricting portion that restricts the first portion 8a from approaching the absorbent core 9 in the width direction by performing the above suction operation when the bending jig 45 bends the exterior sheet 8. To do.
- the first portion 8a is restricted from approaching the absorbent core 9 in the width direction.
- one suction mechanism 47 includes the one bending jig 45 that causes the exterior sheet 8 to rise to the one end side rising portion Bt described above.
- the 1st part 8a located in this one end side rising location Bt is controlled from approaching the absorptive core 9 in the width direction.
- the other suction mechanism 48 when the other bending jig 46 bends the exterior sheet 8 at the above-mentioned other end side rising portion Bt, the first portion 8a located at the other end side rising portion Bt absorbs in the width direction. The access to the sex core 9 is restricted.
- the suction mechanisms 47 and 48 as the restricting portions are provided for the respective bending jigs 45 and 46, the restriction by the suction mechanisms 47 and 48 is applied to each of the two first portions 8a. Can be done individually. As a result, it is possible to individually adjust the regulation (for example, the adjustment of the suction pressure) for each of the two first portions 8a.
- the exterior sheet 8 may be bent.
- the height of the three-dimensional gathered portion 13 when the three-dimensional gathered portion 13 warps when the diaper 1 is worn to increase the volume of the excreta accommodating space S, so that the gap space described above is used.
- Ss is required, and in order to form the gap space Ss, the exterior sheet 8 is bent with the rising portion Bt separated from the absorbent core 9 in the width direction as a bending portion.
- the first portion 8a located at the bending portion in a situation where the first portion 8a located at the bending portion is not fixed, the first portion 8a approaches the absorbent core 9 in the width direction. As a result, the gap space Ss is not properly secured. This is because the part of the exterior sheet 8 that is away from the absorbent core 9 is less rigid than the part where the absorbent core 9 is located (the part on which the absorbent core 9 is placed). That is, since there is a difference in rigidity between the two parts, when the exterior sheet 8 is bent at a bent portion away from the absorbent core 9, the absorbent core 9 and the bent portion of the exterior sheet 8 The part located in between will shrink or bend. In particular, when the exterior sheet 8 is bent so as to fall on the third portion 8c while pulling the second portion 8b inward as in the present embodiment, it is located between the absorbent core 9 and the bent portion. Part breakage occurs remarkably.
- FIG. 14 is a diagram showing a comparative example for explaining the effectiveness of the present embodiment.
- the exterior sheet 8 when the exterior sheet 8 is bent, the exterior sheet 8 is brought into close contact with the mounting surface 43 of the conveyance belt 42 from the first portion 8a to the third portion 8c in the width direction. It fixes (suppresses the shift
- the gap space Ss is appropriately secured between the exterior sheet 8 and the absorbent core 9.
- a function for example, a function of forming the three-dimensional gathered portion 13 that should be provided in the exterior sheet 8 is suitably exhibited.
- the suction mechanisms 47 and 48 perform the suction operation, and the first portion 8a is The exterior sheet 8 is brought into close contact with the mounting surface 43 of the conveyor belt 42 from the first portion 8a to the third portion 8c. Further, in order to make the exterior sheet 8 tightly contact the mounting surface 43 as described above, the vent hole 44 of the mounting surface 43 is formed only in the width direction end portion of the third portion 8c from the first portion 8a. It was made to oppose the range which was made, and it was decided not to oppose the same range about the other part.
- FIG. 15 is a diagram illustrating a first modification.
- the exterior sheet 8 can be bent at a bending portion so that the second portion 8b falls on the third portion 8c while restricting the first portion 8a from approaching the absorbent core 9. (That is, the bending process similar to this example can be performed). Furthermore, in the first modified example, during the bending process, the portion where the leg-around gather portion 12 is formed is also brought into close contact with the mounting surface 43, so that the exterior sheet 8 can be bent while suppressing the flutter of the portion. As described above, the first modification is that, in the exterior sheet 8, the suction pressure acts on the portion where the leg gathering portion 12 is formed in addition to the portion extending from the first portion 8 a to the third portion 8 c.
- the air holes 44 are formed in the mounting surface 43 of the transport belt 42 in order for the suction mechanisms 47 and 48 to perform the suction operation.
- the conveying belt 42 may be formed by drilling, or the conveying belt 42 may be a mesh belt.
- FIG. 16 is a diagram illustrating a second modification.
- the rod-shaped member 49 is an example of a pressing body, and when the exterior sheet 8 placed on the placing surface 43 of the conveyor belt 42 is bent at a bending portion (that is, the rising portion Bt), the exterior sheet 8 is formed from the skin side. (Specifically, as shown in FIG. 16, the third portion 8 c comes into contact with the width direction boundary portion and the width direction end portion).
- the rod-shaped member 49 presses the exterior sheet 8 against the mounting surface 43 from the first portion 8a to the third portion 8c in the width direction. Thereby, the exterior sheet 8 is pressed and fixed to the mounting surface 43 from the first portion 8a to the third portion 8c in the width direction. That is, it becomes possible to restrict the first portion 8a from approaching the absorbent core 9 during the bending process.
- the second modified example is different from the present example, but other configurations are the same as the present example, and the same effects as the present example are achieved.
- the rod-like member 49 is used to restrict the first portion 8 a from approaching the absorbent core 9, the exterior sheet will ensure that a gap space Ss is appropriately secured between the exterior sheet 8 and the absorbent core 9. 8 can be bent.
- the outer sheet 8 is bent at a bending portion while a rod-like member (hereinafter referred to as another rod-like member) different from the rod-like member 49 is positioned on both sides of the absorbent core 9 is also conceivable.
- the other rod-shaped members do not have a function of pressing the outer sheet 8 against the mounting surface 43, but occupy a certain space on both sides of the absorbent core 9. Therefore, if another rod-shaped member is used instead of the above-described rod-shaped member 49, a space corresponding to the width of the other rod-shaped member can be secured on both sides of the absorbent core 9 in the bending process. Accordingly, the first portion 8a is prevented from approaching the absorbent core 9 during the bending process, and the gap space Ss is appropriately secured between the exterior sheet 8 and the absorbent core 9.
- leg periphery gathers part 12 was formed in the outer side of the standup
- the back surface sheet 7 is interposing between the absorptive core 9 and the exterior sheet
- the leg gathers 12 and the three-dimensional gather 13 are formed on the exterior sheet 8.
- a sheet other than the exterior sheet 8 for example, bonded to the skin surface of the exterior sheet 8.
- the gathers 12 and 13 may be formed on the sheet. And even if it is a case where the absorptive main body 2 is mounted on the other sheet
- the diaper 1 as an absorbent article was mentioned as an example and the manufacturing apparatus and the manufacturing method were demonstrated, it is not limited to this.
- other absorbent articles include sanitary napkins, incontinence pads, wipers and the like, and the present invention can be applied to these manufacturing apparatuses and manufacturing methods.
