Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for producing a non-combustion type tobacco sheet, and particularly to improve the flavor.
- non-combustion type flavor suction articles that do not generate smoke and undesirable combustion products have been developed.
- non-burning type flavor suction articles those that heat the tobacco sheet and suck the vapor-like tobacco active ingredient have the advantage of simple structure and handling.
- non-burning type flavor suction articles tend to have a weak expression of flavor. Therefore, it is conceivable to improve the production method of the tobacco sheet to enhance the expression of the flavor.
- Patent Document 1 discloses that a tobacco material is brought into contact with water to be separated into an aqueous extract and an insoluble tobacco residue, nitrate ions contained in the aqueous extract are selectively removed, and the denitrated aqueous extract is used as an insoluble tobacco residue. A method for treating tobacco mixed with is described.
- this method is intended to reduce gas phase components (nitrogen oxide, HCN and CO) during combustion by selectively reducing nitrate ions, and is used as a non-combustion type. It is not a thing.
- the amount of nicotine released when smoking cigarettes produced using treated tobacco is not much different from that of cigarettes produced using untreated tobacco, so the effect of improving the flavor is obtained. I can't.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a method capable of producing a non-combustion type tobacco sheet with improved flavor.
- a step of bringing a tobacco raw material into contact with water to separate it into an aqueous extract and an insoluble tobacco residue, and an anion-reducing treatment solution by selectively reducing anions contained in the aqueous extract A step of obtaining a neutralization treatment solution by adding an acid to the anion-reducing treatment solution, and a sheet made by adding pulp to the insoluble tobacco residue and then adding the neutralization treatment solution.
- a method for producing a non-combustion type tobacco sheet is provided.
- anion exchange treatment as a step of selectively reducing anions contained in the aqueous extract, for example, anion exchange treatment is performed.
- the acid added to the anion reducing treatment solution is selected from the group consisting of nitric acid, malic acid, citric acid and succinic acid.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of a winding including a non-combustion type tobacco sheet according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 is an explanatory view showing a state in which a roll including a tobacco sheet is inserted into a heater of a heating device.
- FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a heating device in which a roll including a tobacco sheet is inserted.
- FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a heating device.
- Domestic burley leaves (Burley 21) were prepared as tobacco materials. After 200 g of a lamina portion obtained by finely cutting the tobacco raw material was stirred in 20 times the amount of water, it was separated into an aqueous extract and an insoluble tobacco residue.
- An 18 mm diameter open column was packed with weakly basic anion exchange resin (Amberlite IRA 96SB, manufactured by Rohm and Haas).
- the aqueous extract was passed through this column at a flow rate of 5 mL / min to obtain an anion-reducing treatment solution.
- the anion reduction treatment solution was concentrated using an evaporator.
- An acid was added to the concentrated anion-reducing treatment solution until the pH reached 5.6 to obtain a neutralization treatment solution.
- Nitric acid, malic acid, citric acid or succinic acid was used as the acid.
- the method for producing a tobacco sheet according to the present invention selectively reduces anions contained in the aqueous extract as compared with the ordinary method for producing a tobacco sheet, and an acid is added to the treatment solution of the aqueous extract.
- the difference is that a step of adding and neutralizing is added.
- a tobacco sheet was produced in the same manner as above except that the anion reduction treatment solution was not neutralized.
- the tobacco sheet was cut into a size of 10 mm length ⁇ 27 mm width and formed into a cylindrical shape having a length of 10 mm ⁇ diameter of 8 mm.
- a cylindrical tobacco sheet 21 and a cylindrical mouthpiece 30 having a length of 48 mm and a diameter of 8 mm are brought into contact with each other, and a packaging material having high thermal conductivity around the tobacco sheet 21 and the mouthpiece 30. 22 was wound and both were joined.
- the thermally conductive packaging material 22 typically, an aluminum foil or aluminum / paper bonding paper is used.
- the composite material of the tobacco sheet 21 and the packaging material 22 is referred to as a winding 20.
- the roll 20 including the tobacco sheet is inserted into the heater 11 having a hollow cylindrical structure of the heating device 10.
- the heater 11 is preferably a hollow cylinder made of the same material (for example, aluminum) as the packaging material 22 of the winding 20 and covered with an electric resistor. This is because when the material on the inner surface of the heater 11 and the material of the packaging material 22 are different, electric contact is generated, which is not preferable.
- At least one of the winding 20 and the heating device 10 may include a flavor or a flavor carrier. From the viewpoint of storage stability, it is preferable to support the flavor on the support so that the flavor is released by heating.
- FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a heating device in which a roll including a tobacco sheet is inserted.
- the heater 11 having a hollow cylindrical structure built in the heating device 10 is heated to a temperature of 80 to 140 ° C.
- a winding 20 including a tobacco sheet is inserted into the hollow portion of the heater 11.
- the mouthpiece 30 is not provided with a filter at the mouthpiece. The size, shape, and material are appropriately selected so that the mouthpiece 30 is easy to hold.
- FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of the heating device 10.
- the heating device 10 includes the heater 11 having a hollow cylindrical structure. Inside the heating device 10, a control circuit 12, a temperature sensor (not shown), and a battery 13 are accommodated. Examples of the temperature sensor include a thermocouple and a thermistor.
- the control circuit 12 is operated by the battery 13 and performs feedback control so that the temperature of the heater 11 detected by the temperature sensor becomes 80 to 140 ° C.
- the control circuit 12 After inserting the winding 20 into the heater 11, the control circuit 12 heated the heater 11 to 115 ° C. in about 10 seconds.
- the active ingredient derived from leaf tobacco that gives a savory taste can be ingested as steam.
- no smoke or combustion products are generated from the tobacco sheet 21, so that the flavor can be enjoyed without bothering the surroundings.
- the ash and koge seen in a normal cigarette are not generated, the used winding can be easily recovered and discarded.
- the tobacco sheet manufactured using the neutralization treatment liquid that has been subjected to neutralization treatment with an acid against the anion reduction treatment liquid compared to the tobacco sheet produced using the anion reduction treatment liquid that has not been neutralized, The savory taste was excellent.
- the nicotine content in the tobacco sheet and the pH of the tobacco sheet were measured as follows.
- the nicotine content in the tobacco sheet was quantified by GC / MS after extracting the nicotine remaining in the tobacco sheet after storage for 2 days.
- the pH of the tobacco sheet was measured with a pH meter after shaking and extracting a tobacco sheet having a length of 10 mm and a width of 27 mm stored for 2 days with 10 mL of a 0.4 mol / L KCl aqueous solution.
- the tobacco sheet produced using the anion-reducing treatment liquid that has not been neutralized has an extremely low nicotine content and a high pH. This is probably because nicotine volatilized during storage. Thus, it is considered that the high pH of the tobacco sheet and the low nicotine content are the reason why a good flavor cannot be obtained as a non-burning type flavor suction article.
