Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung eines Grasgarnes für Kunstrasen. Hierbei werden in zwei parallel betriebenen Extrusionsprozessen jeweils mehrere Monofilen oder Bändchen aus jeweils einem Polymermaterial erzeugt, wobei das Grasgarn durch Verbund (15) aus mehreren Monofilen oder Bändchen des ersten Extrusionsprozesses (1.1) mit mehreren Monofilen oder Bändchen des zweiten Extrusionsprozesses (1.2) gebildet werden. Um insbesondere die Elastizität eines aus dem Grasgarn gefertigten Kunstrasenteppich zu verbessern, werden erfindungsgemäß die Monofilen oder Bändchen eines der Extrusionsprozesse vor dem Zusammenführen gekräuselt (12), wobei die gekräuselten Monofilen oder Bändchen ( 29.2 ) und die glatten Monofilen oder Bändchen (29.1) parallel nebeneinander erzeugt und gemeinsam in einer Umwindestation (16) mit einem Verbundfaden (32) zusammengeführt werden.
