Abstract

 内燃機関における排気還流装置の異常診断装置が提供される。前記排気環流装置は前記機関の排気通路から吸気通路に戻される排気の環流量を調節する排気環流弁を備える。異常診断装置は、前記排気環流装置の異常を診断するために前記排気環流弁の開度を変化させる制御部を備える。前記制御部は、異常診断実行条件が成立した場合、閉弁処理の実行に先行して、開度補正を禁止するとともに前記排気環流弁の開度をそのときの開度から前記第1目標開度よりも大きい第2目標開度まで増大させる開弁処理を実行する。
