Abstract

　優れた低摩擦特性と、寸法精度を維持するための耐摩耗性とを両立させることができる摺動部材およびこれを用いた滑り軸受を提供する。摺動面に開放孔を有する多孔質体５と、該多孔質体５に高分子ゲル６を充填してなる摺動部材であって、上記高分子ゲル６は多孔質体５内に非架橋状態で含浸後に架橋された架橋高分子が潤滑成分を含んで膨潤したゲルであり、多孔質体５に形成される開放孔の平均孔径が 1μm 以上、1000μm 以下であり、かつ平均空孔面積率が 25％以上、99％以下であり、高分子ゲル６が上記摺動面に 1 mm 未満の厚さの被膜を形成している。
