Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zum Abtragen von Material von einem Bauteil (10, 10'), das als Anode geschaltet wird, und wobei eine als Kathode geschaltete Elektrode (12) zu dem Bauteil geführt wird, so dass ein Spalt (16) gebildet wird, und bei dem ein Elektrolyt in den Spalt eingebracht wird, wird durch Bildung eines Kanals ein geschlossenes System für den Elektrolyten gebildet. Dieser wird beständig von einer Zufuhröffnung zu einer Abfuhröffnung des Kanals geleitet. Durch die Bildung des Kanals, beispielsweise durch Führungselemente (18), die an der Elektrode (12) befestigt sind, ist gewährleistet, dass lediglich diejenigen Oberflächenteile des zu bearbeitenden Bauteils (10) mit dem Elektrolyten in Berührung kommen, von dem Material abgetragen werden soll, und dass die übrigen Oberflächenteile nicht mit dem Elektrolyten in Berührung kommen. Durch das beständige Leiten des Elektrolyten über diese Oberfläche hinweg wird verbrauchter Elektrolyt zusammen mit Rückständen beständig abgeführt und frischer Elektrolyt zugeführt, so dass das Verfahren besonders störungsfrei und zügig durchführbar ist.
