Abstract

 本発明は、その特性に応じて、発光材料、電子輸送材料、電子注入材料、正孔阻止材料または有機半導体材料として有用であり、従来公知のホウ素化合物とは全く異なる新しい分子構造を有する新規なホウ素化合物、それらの製造方法およびそれらを用いた機能性電子素子を提供する。新規なホウ素化合物は、例えば、下記式(1): で示されるホウ素化合物である。これらのホウ素化合物は、例えば、下記式(4): で示されるホウ素化合物を、下記式(5): で示される化合物と、パラジウム、白金およびニッケルよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の金属元素を含む触媒の存在下で、反応させることにより、製造することができる。これらのホウ素化合物は、機能性電子素子に用いられる。
