Abstract

 MIMOによる空間多重と両偏波伝送を組み合わせたシステムを提供し、そのシステムを簡単な回路構成で構成し、空間と偏波という2つの多重化が重なった信号を精度良く復調する無線通信システムを提供する。無線通信システムは、複数のアンテナを用い、複数の伝送路を固定的に形成するMIMO通信システムであり、送信部及び受信部を有する。送信部は、送信側の各アンテナから送信される信号として、MIMOの空間多重化に加え、電波の互いに直交する2つの偏波を使って同一の帯域で2つの独立した信号を伝送する両偏波伝送を行う。受信部は、干渉補償器と、その干渉補償器に接続されたMIMO信号処理回路とを有する。干渉補償器は、受信側の各アンテナで受信される信号に対して、偏波間の干渉成分を適応制御により除去する信号処理を行う。MIMO信号処理回路は、干渉補償器による信号処理とは独立して、MIMOの空間多重分離のための信号処理を行う。
