Abstract

 光学系の解像限界より短い長さの記録マークを含み、複数の記録マークがランダムパターン方式に従って配置されることによって情報が記録された超解像光情報記録媒体(100a)を再生する光情報記録媒体再生装置(1)は、超解像光情報記録媒体(100a)の記録面に対してレーザ光を照射して、超解像光情報記録媒体(100a)の再生品質に関する指標を計測するテストリードを、再生レーザパワーを所定の初期値から変動させながら実行し、計測した指標に基づき、再生レーザパワーを設定する。これにより、テストリードの結果に基づいて、超解像光情報記録媒体(100a)に記録されている情報を再生する再生レーザパワーを決定するので、良好な再生品質を得ることができる。
