  1. 波長408nmの光ビームの照射によって情報を記録する、あるいは記録された情報を再生する、情報の記録が可能な光情報記録媒体に情報を記録する記録装置であって、
    上記光情報記録媒体は、光ビームの波長をλ、その光ビームを集光する集光レンズの開口数をNAとしたときに、
    基板の光ビーム照射面側に、該光情報記録媒体に対応する再生装置の有する光学系解像限界(λ/4NA)より短いマーク長の信号を再生するための再生層を有すると共に、上記再生装置の有する光学系解像限界(λ/4NA)より短いマーク長の記録マークが記録される溝と、記録位置を示すアドレスを記録する溝が設けられており、
    情報の記録時に、再生位置の情報を提供するアドレスを記録する溝に、録することを特徴とする記録装置。
