Abstract

 高出力なレーザを出力できる固体レーザ素子を得るために、平板状のレーザ媒質内で複数の基本波レーザ光を光学軸6方向に発振させて、レーザ媒質内の平板状の主面に垂直な方向であるレーザ媒質の厚さ方向に導波路構造を形成する平面導波路型の固体レーザ素子において、レーザ媒質は、光学軸6方向およびレーザ媒質の厚さ方向に垂直な方向であるレーザ媒質の主面幅方向が、レーザ媒質内を光学軸6方向に延びる溝10によって区切られている。
