Abstract

 タイヤ作用力の検出方法は、サイドウォール部の歪を測定する歪センサの歪出力により、前後力、横力、上下力、及びタイヤ軸廻りのモーメントのうちの少なくとも一つを検出する。前記歪センサは、ゲイン最大線がタイヤ半径方向線に対して45°の角度でタイヤ周方向一方側に傾斜する複数の第1の歪センサと、45°の角度でタイヤ周方向他方側に傾斜する複数の第2の歪センサとからなり、一つの第1の歪センサと一つの前記第2の歪センサとを対としたセンサ対の少なくとも4対を、一つの円周線上に等間隔を隔てて配される。所定のタイヤの回転位置Pにおいて、各前記歪センサからサイドウォール部の歪を同時に測定し、歪センサ毎に歪出力をうる歪測定ステップと、この歪測定ステップにより測定された歪センサ毎の歪出力に基づき、前記タイヤ作用力を算出する作用力算出ステップとを含む。
