Abstract

 波長が400nm近辺の紫外線を吸収する優れた紫外線吸収能を有し、着色が少なく透明性が高いプラスチックレンズ、及びその製造方法を提供する。  下記(A)~(D)成分、(A)レンズ材料モノマー、(B)CoO・Al2O3及び/又はCo・Al2O4で表されるコバルト化合物、(C)平均粒径が1~1000nmであるAu微粒子、及び(D)ベンゾフェノン系及びベンゾトリアゾール系から選ばれる少なくとも1種の紫外線吸収剤を含む組成物を重合させて得られるプラスチックレンズ基材からなるプラスチックレンズ、ならびに、前記(A)成分と、(B)成分を含むコバルト化合物分散物と、(C)成分を含むAu微粒子分散物と、(D)成分とを混合し、得られた組成物を重合させてプラスチックレンズ基材とするプラスチックレンズの製造方法である。
