Abstract

 低消費電力を実現しつつ、放電ランプの点灯性を向上可能な放電ランプ用制御回路及び光源装置が提供される。第4時刻t4においては、可変抵抗(RC1,RC2)の抵抗値を、定常放電時の低抵抗(R02)に切り替えないでおき、フィラメントへの供給電力の低下後の第5時刻t5に、低抵抗(R02)に切り替えることとした。この制御により、フィラメントへの供給電力の低下時においては、ランプインピーダンスの変化を可変抵抗が十分に吸収するため、放電の不安定化が抑制され、点灯性が向上する。
