Abstract

Dans un moteur à combustion interne muni d'un mécanisme de levée de soupape à variation continue classique, la perte de pompage n'est pas réduite même si une soupape d'étranglement est remplacée et le moteur requiert de façon séparée un mécanisme de calage de distribution variable pour changer la phase d'un arbre à cames afin de produire un état de ralenti. Selon l'invention, dans un système permettant de faire varier l'angle d'ouverture de soupape total, même si une soupape est légèrement levée, une partie de raccord pour arrêter l'écoulement de gaz est prévue au niveau de l'ouverture d'un orifice d'une soupape pourvue d'un mécanisme de levée de soupape à variation continue. Le système peut également être utilisé pour des moteurs à pression de type à déplacement. Une perte de pompage est réduite par des effets de synergie tels que la suppression du chevauchement de la soupape, l'augmentation de la quantité d'une variation du calage de distribution et la fermeture rapide de la soupape en raison de l'existence de la partie de raccord. Le mécanisme de levée de soupape à variation continue-mécanisme de calage de distribution variable d'un concept subordonné pouvant maintenir de façon contrôlée le calage de distribution d'ouverture de soupape au niveau du point mort haut par une seule tige de réglage, la soupape d'étranglement peut être aisément remplacée.
