Description

明 細 書 燃料電池の制御装置および燃料電池システム 技術分野
本発明は、 燃料電池の制御装置および燃料電池システムに関する。 背景技術
電解質膜と、 当該電解質膜の一方側に設けられた酸化剤極と、 他方側に設けら れた燃料極とを備え、 酸化剤極に供給される酸素を含む空気等の酸化剤ガスと、 燃料極に供給される水素を含む燃料ガスとにより発電する燃料電池がある (例え ば、 特開平 5— 4 7 3 9 4号公報、 特開 2 0 0 4— 1 2 7 9 1 4号公報、 および 特開 2 0 0 4— 2 2 0 7 9 4号公報を参照) 。
特開平 5— 4 7 3 9 4号公報には、 燃料電池の固体高分子電解質の含水状態を 最適状態に維持し、 安定した電池の運転を可能にする技術が開示されている。 具 体的には、 燃料電池の電流電圧特性が低下し、 且つ、 固体高分子電解質の電導度 が増大した場合には、 供給用反応ガス中の水分加湿量を減少させ、 燃料電池の電 流電圧特性が低下し、 且つ、 固体高分子電解質の電導度が低い場合には、 水分加 湿量を増加させるものが開示されている。
また、 特開 2 0 0 4— 1 2 7 9 1 4号公報には、 燃料電池の水分状態の診断結 果に応じて、 酸化剤ガスの圧力と燃料ガスの圧力との圧力差を制御する技術が開 示されている。 具体的には、 特開 2 0 0 4 _ 1 2 7 9 1 4号公報では、 水分が過 剰であると診断された場合には、 燃料ガスの圧力が酸化剤ガスの圧力に対して高 くなるように圧力差を制御し、 これにより、 空気極側から燃料極側への水の拡散 を抑制し、 燃料極の電極部位での水の滞留を防止している。 一方、 水分が不足で あると診断された場合には、 燃料ガスの圧力が酸化剤ガスの圧力に対して低くな るように圧力差を制御し、 これにより、 空気極側から燃料極側への水の移動を促 進させ、 電解質膜への含水が迅速に行われるようにしている。 また、 特開 2 0 0 4— 2 2 0 7 9 4号公報には、 水素あるいは空気の供給量や 圧力の過不足によって燃料電池の電流電圧特性が変化することを利用して、 ァノ ード圧力センサおよびカソード圧力センサを用いることなく、 ァノ一ド圧力と力 ソード圧力との圧力差を一定にする技術が開示されている。 具体的には、 特開 2 0 0 4 - 2 2 0 7 9 4号公報では、 実電圧値が予め記憶された電流電圧特性に基 づく基準電圧値より小さかった場合に、 燃料ガスまたは酸化剤ガスの圧力を増加 するように補正するものが開示されている。 この技術では、 実電圧値と基準電圧 値とを照合することにより、 水素または空気の供給が不足しているか否かを判定 できることを利用している。 発明の開示
ところで、 燃料電池においては、 酸化剤極での水分濃度が高いと、 酸化剤極の 触媒の表面に水が吸着する現象または酸化剤極の触媒の表面に水酸基が生成され る現象が生じ、 これにより触媒の ¾性が下がり、 燃料電池の出力が低下してしま ラ。
このような酸化剤極での水分濃度が高いことによる燃料電池の出力の低下に対 する対策は、 上記いずれの文献にも開示されていない。
そこで、 本発明は、 酸化剤極での水分濃度が高いことによる燃料電池の出力の 低下を低減することが可能な燃料電池の制御装置を提供する。
本発明に係る燃料電池の制御装置は、 電解質膜と、 前記電解質膜の一方側に設 けられた酸化剤極と、 前記電解質膜の他方側に設けられた燃料極とを備え、 前記 酸化剤極に供給される酸化剤ガスと前記燃料極に供給される燃料ガスとにより発 電する燃料電池の制御装置であって、 前記燃料電池の電流電圧特性が所定の基準 より低下し、 且つ、 前記電解質膜が所定の基準より乾燥していない場合に、 前記 酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる制御を行うことを特徴とする。
本発明の一態様では、 前記制御として、 高負荷運転から低負荷運転に移行する 際の高負荷運転終了後に、 前記酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる第 1の制御を行う また、 本発明の一態様では、 前記第 1の制御では前記電流電圧特性の低下を十 分に低減できない場合に、 前記制御として、 低負荷運転から高負荷運転に移行す る際の高負荷運転開始前に、 前記酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる第 2の制御を行 う。
本発明に係る燃料電池システムは、 電解質膜と、 前記電解質膜の一方側に設け られた酸化剤極と、 前記電解質膜の他方側に設けられた燃料極とを備え、 前記酸 化剤極に供給される酸化剤ガスと前記燃料極に供給される燃料ガスとにより発電 する燃料電池と、 前記燃料電池を制御する上記いずれかの制御装置と、 を有する ことを特徴とする。
本発明によれば、 酸化剤極での水分濃度が高いことによる燃料電池の出力の低 下を低減することが可能な燃料電池の制御装置を提供することができる。 図面の簡単な説明

以下、 本発明の実施の形態を図面に従って説明する。
図 1は、 本実施の形態に係る燃料電池システム 1の構成を示す概略図である。 この燃料電池システム 1は、 酸化剤ガスと燃料ガスを用いて発電するシステムで あり、 本実施の形態では、 燃料電池自動車に搭載されるものである。 ただし、 燃 料電池システム 1は、 燃料電池自動車以外に適用されてもよい。
図 1において、 燃料電池システム 1は、 燃料電池 1 0を有する。 この燃料電池 1 0は、 酸化剤ガスと燃料ガスとの供給を受けて発電する。 具体的には、 酸化剤 ガスは、 酸素を含む空気等のガスであり、 燃料ガスは、 水素を含むガスであり、 燃料電池 1 0は、 水素と酸素との電気化学反応を利用して発電する。 燃料電池 1 0は、 例えば、 固体高分子電解質型の燃料電池である。
図 2は、 燃料電池 1 0の構成を示す概略断面図である。 以下、 図 2を参照して 、 燃料電池 1 0の構成について説明する。 なお、 本実施の形態では、 燃料電池 1 0は、 多数の単セルが積層されたスタック構造を有するものであるが、 図 2では 、 便宜上、 単一のセルが示されている。
図 2において、 燃料電池 1 0は、 電解質膜 1 1と、 電解質膜 1 1の一方の面に 設けられた酸化剤極 (力ソードと呼ばれる) 1 2と、 電解質膜 1 1の他方の面に 設けられた燃料極 (アノードと呼ばれる) 1 3とを含む。 具体的には、 燃料電池 1 0は、 電解質膜 1 1に酸化剤極 1 2および燃料極 1 3が接合されてなる膜電極 接合体 (MEA: Membrane Electrode Assembly) を含む。
酸化剤極 1 2の外面側には、 酸^剤極 1 2の面に沿って酸化剤極 1 2に酸化剤 ガスを供給する酸化剤ガス流路 1 4が設けられており、 燃料極 1 3の外面側には 、 燃料極 1 3の面に沿って燃料極 1 3に燃料ガスを供給する燃料ガス流路 1 5が 設けられている。 具体的には、 酸化剤極 1 2の外面側には、 拡散層 1 6を介して 、 酸化剤ガス流路 1 4が形成されたセパレー夕が設けられ、 燃料極 1 3の外面側 には、 拡散層 1 7を介して、 燃料ガス流路 1 5が形成されたセパレー夕が設けら れる。 .
ここで、 燃料電池 1 0の発電作用について説明する。 酸化剤ガス流路 1 4には 、 その入口 1 4 Aを介して酸化剤ガスが供給され、 これにより酸化剤極 1 2に酸 化剤ガスが供給される。 一方、 燃料ガス流路 1 5には、 その入口 1 5 Aを介して 燃料ガスが供給され、 これにより燃料極 1 3に燃料ガスが供給される。 燃料電池 1 0は、 酸化剤極 1 2に供給される酸化剤ガスと燃料極 1 3に供給される燃料ガ スとを用いて発電を行う。 具体的には、 白金の触媒作用などにより、 燃料極 1 3 側では下記式 (1 ) に示される反応が起こり、 酸化剤極 1 2側では下記式 (2) に示される反応が起こり、 全体としては下記式 (3) に示される起電反応が起こ る。

そして、 酸化剤ガス流路 1 4からは、 その出口 1 4 Bを介して力ソードオフガ スが排出され、 燃料ガス流路 1 5からは、 その出口 1 5 Bを介してアノードオフ ガスが排出される。
再び図 1を参照すると、 酸化剤ガス流路 1 4の入口には、 コンプレッサ 2 1か ら供給される空気を酸化剤ガス流路 1 4に導く酸化剤供給流路 2 2が接続されて おり、 酸化剤ガス流路 1 4の出口には、 当該酸化剤ガス流路 1 4から排出される 力ソードオフガスを外部に導く酸化剤排出流路 2 3が接続されている。 酸化剤排 出流路 2 3には、 当該流路内のガスの圧力 (すなわち力ソード背圧) を調整する ための圧力調整弁 24が設けられている。 なお、 図 1には示されていないが、 酸 化剤ガス流路 1 4に接続される流路 2 2, 2 3には、 適宜、 流路内のガスの圧力 を測定する圧力センサや、 流路内のガスの流量を測定する流量センサ、 流路を開 閉するための弁 (エアシャットバルブ) 、 加湿モジュールなどが設けられる。 一方、 燃料ガス流路 1 5の入口には、 高圧水素ガスを貯蔵する水素タンク 3 1 から供給される水素を燃料ガス流路 1 5に導く燃料供給流路 3 2が接続されてお り、 燃料ガス流路 1 5の出口には、 当該燃料ガス流路 1 5から排出されるァノー ドオフガスを燃料供給流路 3 2に戻す循環流.路 3 3が接続されている。 燃料供給 流路 3 2には、 当該流路内のガスの圧力を調整する圧力調整弁 3 4が設けられて いる。 循環流路 3 3には、 水素を循環させるための水素ポンプ 3 8が設けられて いる。 また、 循環流路 3 3には、 燃料ガス流路 1 5から排出されたアノードオフ ガスを外部に導く燃料排出流路 3 5が接続されており、 この燃料排出流路 3 5に は、 当該流路を開閉するパージ弁 3 6が設けられている。 なお、 図 1には示され ていないが、 燃料ガス流路 1 5に接続される流路 3 2 , 3 3には、 適宜、 流路内 の圧力を測定する圧力センサや、 流路内のガスの流量を測定する流量センサ、 流 路を開閉するための弁 (エアシャットバルブ) などが設けられる。
燃料電池 1 0には、 外部負荷 4 1が電気的に接続される。 外部負荷 4 1は、 例 えば、 D C ZD Cコンバータや、 当該 D C ZD Cコンバータを介して燃料電池 1 0に接続される負荷 (例えば、 二次電池、 キャパシ夕、 補機、 抵抗体など) であ る。
さらに、 燃料電池システム 1は、 燃料電池 1 0の出力電圧を測定する電圧セン サ 4 2と、 燃料電池の出力電流を測定する電流センサ 4 3と、 燃料電池 1 0のィ ンピーダンスを測定するインピーダンス測定部 4 4と、 燃料電池システム 1全体 を制御する制御装置 5 0とを有する。 制御装置 5 0は、 具体的には、 各種の入力 情報 (電圧センサ 4 2、 電流センサ 4 3、 およびインピーダンス測定部 4 4の出 力値など) に基づき、 被制御装置 (コンプレッサ 2 1、 圧力調整弁 2 4、 水素ポ ンプ 3 8、 圧力調整弁 3 4など) を制御する。
制御装置 5 0は、 適宜の構成により実現可能であるが、 本実施の形態では、 C P U (Central Process ing Uni t) 、 R O M (Read Only Memory) 、 メインメモ リなどを含んで構成され、 その機能は、 R O M等の記憶媒体に記憶された制御プ ログラムが C P Uにより実行されることによって実現される。
上記構成において、 酸化剤極 1 2での水分濃度が高いと、 酸化剤極 1 2の触媒 の表面に水が物理吸着する現象、 または酸化剤極 1 2の触媒の表面に水酸基が生 成される現象が生じ、 これにより触媒の活性が下がり、 燃料電池 1 0の出力が低 下してしまう。
このような事象は、 例えば、 低圧 (例えば 1 4 0 k P a a b s以下) のカソ ード圧で連続運転される際に現れる。 また、 特に、 低負荷運転と高負荷運転とが 繰り返される際に顕著に現れる。 したがって、 燃料電池自動車においては、 アイ ドルと WO T (Wide Open Throt t le) とが繰り返される際に顕著に現れる。 具体 的には、 低負荷運転と高負荷運転が繰り返されると、 燃料電池の出力は次第に低 下していく。
燃料電池 1 0の電流電圧特性が低下している場合であって、 且つ、 電解質膜 1 1が乾燥していない場合には、 上記現象により電流電圧特性が低下している可能 性がある。
本願出願人は、 酸化剤極 1 2での水分濃度が高いことによる燃料電池の出力低 下が生じた場合、 酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させることによって、 出力低下を 低減 (回復または抑制) することができることを見出した。 一つの推測では、 酸 化剤極 1 .2のガス圧が上昇すると、 酸化剤極 1 2での水蒸気濃度が低下し、 これ により、 触媒への水の吸着量の低下や、 触媒からの水の脱離、 水酸基の生成の抑 制、 触媒からの水酸基の脱離が生じるものと考えられる。
以上より、 本実施の形態では、 上記酸化剤極 1 2での水分濃度が高いことによ る燃料電池 1 0の出力の低下に対処するため、 制御装置 5 0は、 次のような制御 を行う。 すなわち、 制御装置 5 0は、 燃料電池 1 0の電流電圧特性が所定の基準 より低下し、 且つ、 電解質膜 1 1が所定の基準より乾燥していない場合に、 酸化 剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる制御を行う。
上記 「燃料電池 1 0の電流電圧特性が所定の基準より低下し」 について説明す る。 具体的には、 制御装置 5 0は、 燃料電池 1 0の電流電圧特性の実測値を取得 し、 当該実測値に基づき燃料電池 1 0の電流電圧特性が所定の基準よりも低下し ているか否かを判定する。 より具体的には、 制御装置 5 0は、 電流電圧特性の実 測値と、 予め記憶されている電流電圧特性の推定値とを比較し、 両者の差が所定 値以上である場合には低下していると判定し、 そうでない場合には低下していな いと判定する。 電流電圧特性の実測値は、 例えば、 ある出力電流における出力電 圧の実測値や、 ある出力電圧における出力電流の実測値である。 電流電圧特性の 推定値は、 例えば、 要求出力に対応する出力電圧および出力電流の目標値を決定 するために予め用意された電流電圧特性マップに基づいて求められる。 本実施の 形態において判定の対象とされる電流電圧特性の低下は、 燃料電池 1 0の電流電 圧特性自体の低下であって、 酸化剤ガスや燃料ガスの不足による出力電圧や出力 電流の低下ではない。 したがって、 本実施の形態では、 電流電圧特性の実測値と 推定値との比較は、 ガスの圧力や流量等の運転条件を整合させた上で行われる。 上記 「電解質膜 1 1が所定の基準より乾燥していない」 について説明する。 具 体的には、 制御装置 5 0は、 電解質膜 1 1の湿潤状態を表す情報を取得し、 当該 情報に基づき電解質膜 1 1が所定の基準よりも乾燥しているか否かを判定する。 例えば、 制御装置 5 0は、 燃料電池 1 0のインピーダンスを取得し、 当該インピ 一ダンスが所定値以上である場合には乾燥していると判定し、 そうでない場合に は乾燥していないと判定する。 ただし、 電解質膜 1 1が乾燥しているか否かは、 別の方法で判定されてもよい。
上記 「酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる制御を行う」 について説明する。 具 体的には、 制御装置 5 0は、 燃料電池 1 0の電流電圧特性が所定の基準よりも低 下していると判定され、 且つ、 電解質膜 1 1が所定の基準よりも乾燥していない と判定された場合には、 酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる制御を行う。 例えば 、 制御装置 5 0は、 圧力調整弁 2 4やコンプレッサ 2 1を^御して、 酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる。 ここで、 「酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧」 は、 具体的には、 酸化剤ガス流路 1 4内のガスの圧力である。 また、 「酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上 昇させる」 とは、 通常制御時の酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧よりも、 酸化剤極 1 2のガ ス圧を上昇させることを意味する。 具体的には、 目標出力に応じた予め設定され たガス圧、 例えば予め用意された制御マップにおいて目標出力に対応するガス圧 を基準として、 ガス圧を上昇させることを意味する。
本実施の形態では、 制御装置 5 0は、 エネルギー効率の観点より、 上記制御と して、 高負荷運転から低負荷運転に移行する際の高負荷運転終了後に、 酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる第 1の制御を行う。 具体的には、 制御装置 5 0は、 図 3に示されるように、 高負荷運転終了直後、 一時的に、 例えば圧力調整弁 2 4の 開度を絞る (一つの態様では全閉する) ことにより、 力ソード背圧を上げる。 燃 料電池自動車における一態様では、 アクセル閉時に、 圧力調整弁 2 4の開度を数 秒間閉側にして、 アクセル閉直後のアイドル運転時または間欠運転時の力ソード 背圧を一時的に昇圧させる。
そして、 制御装置 5 0は、 上記第 1の制御では電流電圧特性の低下を十分に低 減できない場合に、 上記制御として、 低負荷運転から高負荷運転に移行する際の 高負荷運転開始前に、 酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる第 2の制御を行う。 こ の第 2の制御は、 第 1の制御と比較して、 エネルギー効率の面では劣るが、 電流 電圧特性の低下に対して高い低減効果が得られるものである。
上記 「第 1の制御では電流電圧特性の低下を十分に低減できない場合」 につい て説明する。 具体的には、 制御装置 5 0は、 所定の判定基準に基づいて、 上記第 1の制御により電流電圧特性の低下を十分に低減できているか否かを判定し、 低 減できていないと判定された場合に、 上記第 2の制御を行う。 ここで、 制御装置 5 0は、 第 1の制御では電流電圧特性を十分に回復させることができない場合に 第 2の制御を行ってもよいし、 第 1の制御では電流電圧特性の低下を十分に抑制 できない場合に第 2の制御を行ってもよい。 一つの態様では、 制御装置 5 0は、 電流電圧特性の実測値が推定値に対し所定値以上下回った場合、 まずは第 1の制 御を行い、 その後、 再度実測値が推定値に対し上記所定値以上下回った場合、 第 2の制御を行う。
上記 「第 2の制御」 について説明する。 具体的には、 制御装置 5 0は、 図 4に 示されるように、 高出力要求時等の高負荷運転開始直前に、 一時的に、 例えば圧 力調整弁 2 4の開度を絞る (一つの態様では全閉する) ことにより、 力ソード背 圧を上げる。 燃料電池自動車における一態様では、 アクセル開時に、 圧力調整弁 2 4の開度を閉側にして、 力ソード背圧を一時的に昇圧させる。
なお、 酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる時期は、 上記第 1の制御における時 期や第 2の制御における時期に限られない。 例えば、 アイドル時等の低負荷運転 時 (例えば図 5の期間 A) にガス圧を上昇させてもよいし、 WO T 等の高負荷 運転時 (例えば図 5の期間 B ) にガス圧を上昇させてもよい。
以下、 本実施の形態に係る燃料電池システム 1の 作を具体的に説明する。 制御装置 5 0は、 要求出力に応じて、 予め設定された燃料電池 1 0の電流電圧 特性マップ ( I一 V特性マップ) に基づき、 出力電圧および出力電流の目標値を 決定する。 そして、 制御装置 5 0は、 出力電圧および出力電流の目標値に応じて 、 予め設定された制御マップに基づき、 酸化剤極 1 2に供給される空気の圧力お よび流量、 ならびに燃料極 1 3に供給される水素の圧力および流量の目標値を決 定する。 そして、 制御装置 5 0は、 酸化剤極 1 2に供給される空気の圧力および 流量、 ならびに燃料極 1 3に供給される水素の圧力および流量が、 それぞれ目標 値となるように、 圧力調整弁 2 4、 コンプレッサ 2 1、 圧力調整弁 3 4、 水素ポ ンプ 3 8を制御する。 好適な一態様では、 圧力を目標値に制御する際、 圧力セン ザが用いられる。 また、 好適な一態様では、 流量を目標値に制御する際、 流量セ ンサが用いられる。
上記制御装置 5 0の制御により、 水素タンク 3 1から燃料供給流路 3 2を介し て水素が燃料ガス流路 1 5に供給され、 コンプレッサ 2 1から酸化剤供給流路 2 2を介して空気が酸化剤ガス流路 1 4に供給され、 燃料電池 1 0が発電する。 燃料ガス流路 1 5からは、 反応に寄与しなかった水素を含むアノードオフガス が排出され、 当該アノードオフガスは循環流路 3 3を通って再び燃料ガス流路 1 5に供給される。 このとき、 アノードオフガスには、 水素以外の不純物が含まれ ているため、 循環するうちに当該アノードオフガス中の水素濃度が低下していく 。 そこで、 適宜のタイミングでパージ弁 3 6が開かれ、 水素濃度が低下したァノ ―ドオフガスが燃料排出流路 3 5を通って外部に排気される。
一方、 酸化剤ガス流路 1 4からは力ソードオフガスが排出され、 当該力ソード オフガスは酸化剤排出流路 2 3を通って外部に排出される。
本実施の形態では、 酸化剤極 1 2での水分濃度が高いことによる燃料電池 1 0 の出力の低下に対処するため、 制御装置 5 0は、 図 6に示される処理を行う。 当 該図 6に示される処理は、 適宜繰り返し行われる。 図 6において、 制御装置 5 0は、 電圧センサ 4 2および電流センサ 4 3を用い て、 燃料電池 1 0の電流電圧特性の実測値を取得する (S 1 ) 。
また、 制御装置 5 0は、 インピーダンス測定部 4 4により測定された燃料電池 1 0のインピーダンスを取得する (S 2 ) 。
そして、 制御装置 5 0は、 取得された電流電圧特性の実測値が推定値より所定 値以上低く、 且つ、 取得されたインピーダンスが所定値以下であるか否かを判定 する (S 3 ) 。
ステップ S 3の判定結果が 「N〇」 である場合、 処理は終了する。
一方.、 ステップ S 3の判定結果が 「Y E S」 である場合、 すなわち実測値が推 定値より所定値以上低く、 且つ、 インピーダンスが所定値以下であると判定され た場合、 制御装置 5 0は、 現在第 1の制御を実行中であるか否かを判断する (S
4 ) 。
そして、 第 1の制御を実行中でない場合 (S 4 : N O) 、 制御装置 5 0は、 高 負荷運転終了後に酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる第 1の制御を開始する (S
5 ) 。 具体的には、 アクセルオフ直後、 一時的に (2 0秒程度) 、 圧力調整弁 2 4を閉じて力ソード背圧を上げる制御を開始する。
一方、 第 1の制御を実行中である場合 (S 4 : Y E S ) 、 制御装置 5 0は、 高 負荷運転開始前に酸化剤極 1 2のガス圧を上昇させる第 2の制御を開始する (S
6 ) 。 具体的には、 高出力要求時に最初に圧力調整弁 2 4を閉じて力ソード背圧 を上げる制御を開始する。
なお、 上記第 1および第 2の制御は、 例えば、 電流電圧特性が所定以上回復し た場合に終了する。
以上のとおり、 本実施の形態では、 電解質膜と、 電解質膜の一方側に設けられ た酸化剤極と、 電解質膜の他方側に設けられた燃料極とを備え、 酸化剤極に供給 される酸化剤ガスと燃料極に供給される燃料ガスとにより発電する燃料電池につ いて、 燃料電池の電流電圧特性が所定の基準より低下し、 且つ、 電解質膜が所定 の基準より乾燥していない場合に、 酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる制御を行う。 このため、 本実施の形態によれば、 酸化剤極での水分濃度が高いことによる燃料 電池の出力の低下を低減することが可能となる。
また、 本実施の形態では、 上記制御として、 高負荷運転から低負荷運転に移行 する際の高負荷運転終了後に、 酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる第 1の制御を行う
。 この態様によれば、 上記制御をエネルギー効率良ぐ行うことが可能となる。 また、 本実施の形態では、 上記第 1の制御では電流電圧特性の低下を十分に低 減できない場合に、 上記制御として、 低負荷運転から高負荷運転に移行する際の 高負荷運転開始前に、 酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる第 2の制御を行う。 この態 様によれば、 第 1の制御では電流電圧特性の低下を十分に回復または抑制できな い場合に、 十分な回復や抑制を図ることが可能となる。
なお、 本発明は、 上記実施の形態に限定されるものではなく、 本発明の要旨を 逸脱しない範囲内で種々変更することができる。
例えば、 上記圧力調整弁 3 4の代わりにインジェクタが設けられ、 燃料ガスの 圧力は、 インジェク夕のオンオフを制御することにより調整されてもよい。

請 求 の 範 囲
1 . 電解質膜と、 前記電解質膜の一方側に設けられた酸化剤極と、 前記電解質膜 の^!方側に設けられた燃料極とを備え、 前記酸化剤極に供給される酸化剤ガスと 前記燃料極に供給される燃料ガスとにより発電する燃料電池の制御装置であって 前記燃料電池の電流電圧特性が所定の基準より低下し、 且つ、 前記電解質膜が 所定の基準より乾燥していない場合に、 前記酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる制御 を行うことを特徴とする燃料電池の制御装置。
2 . 請求の範囲 1に記載の燃料電池の制御装置であって、
前記制御として、 高負荷運転から低負荷運転に移行する際の高負荷運転終了後 に、 前記酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる第 1の制御を行うことを特徴とする燃料 電池の制御装置。
3 . 請求の範囲 2に記載の燃料電池の制御装置であって、
前記第 1の制御では前記電流電圧特性の低下を十分に低減できない場合に、 前 記制御として、 低負荷運転から高負荷運転に移行する際の高負荷運転開始前に、 前記酸化剤極のガス圧を上昇させる第 2の制御を行うことを特徴とする燃料電池 の制御装置。
4 . 電解質膜と、 前記電解質膜の一方側に設けられた酸化剤極と、 前記電解質膜 の他方側に設けられた燃料極とを備え、 前記酸化剤極に供給される酸化剤ガスと 前記燃料極に供給される燃料ガスとにより発電する燃料電池と、
前記燃料電池を制御する請求の範囲 1から 3のいずれか 1項に記載の制御装置 と、
を有することを特徴とする燃料電池システム。
