Abstract

 このファイバレーザは、パルス発振器と、前記パルス発振器の後段に接続された希土類添加光ファイバを利得媒体とした第1の光ファイバ増幅器とを有するMO-PA方式のファイバレーザであって、パルス発振器と光ファイバ増幅器との間に波長変換部を有し、且つ前記波長変換部とパルス発振器との間に、パルス発振器から発せられるパルス光の波長成分のみを透過する波長フィルタを有するので、高価な光部品を使用せずに反射光によるファイバレーザの破損を防止することが可能である。
