 本発明の圧電磁器組成物は、主成分が、一般式{(1-x)(K1-a-bNaaLib)(Nb1-cTac)O3-xM2M4O3}(ただし、M2はCa、Ba、又はSr、M4はZr、Sn、又はHf、0.005≦x≦0.1、0≦a≦0.9、0≦b≦0.1、0≦a+b≦0.9、0≦c≦0.3)で表わされ、Mnが前記主成分100モルに対し2~15モルの範囲で含有され、かつ、前記M4が前記主成分100モルに対し0.1~5.0モルの範囲で含有されている。主成分100モルに対し0.1~5.0モルの範囲でNiが含有するのも好ましく、Yb、In等の特定の希土類元素を含有させるのも好ましい。セラミック素体1中のセラミック層が、この圧電磁器組成物で形成されている。これにより還元雰囲気での焼結性を改善してNiとの共焼成が可能な圧電磁器組成物、及びこれを用いた圧電セラミック電子部品を実現する。
