Abstract

 モータ内蔵の電動圧縮機への、半導体スイッチング素子を備えたインバータからの通電を制御する装置において、圧縮機の吐出側回路における圧力から圧縮機の起動に必要な起動電流値を算出する手段と、インバータ設置部位の温度から半導体スイッチング素子の許容電流値を算出する手段とを備えているとともに、算出された圧縮機起動電流値と半導体スイッチング素子許容電流値との比較から圧縮機の起動許可を判定する起動許可判定手段を有することを特徴とする電動圧縮機の制御装置。インバータに必要以上に電流容量の大きな半導体スイッチング素子を使用することなく電動圧縮機を適切に起動でき、それによって電動圧縮機の大型化やコストアップを抑えることができる。
