Abstract

 トラクタとトレーラから成る車両の横転防止装置において、トラクタヘッド側でトレーラのロール角検出が正確に行えるようにするため、トラクタの後部ロール角(RHr)を検出し、トラクタ及びトレーラの連結総重量(Wtortal)を推定し、トラクタ及びトレーラを連結するカプラーが受ける荷重(Wfifth)を推定し、そしてトラクタの前軸及び後軸のサスペンションのロール剛性(KHf,KHr)を演算する。このようにして求めたトラクタ後部ロール角(RHr)と連結総重量(Wtortal)と荷重(Wfifth)と両サスペンションのロール剛性(KHf,KHr)と別途与えられるトレーラの所定のねじり剛性(KTtorsion)とに基づき、トレーラのロール角を推定して出力(ROUT)する。トラクタの横加速度(Gy)を加えてトレーラロール角を推定することもできる。
