Abstract

 互いに光路方向の異なる、嵌合ピン位置決め方式の第1及び第2の2つの光部品間に介在して両光部品間の光接続を行うための光路変換素子であり、ブロック状の素子本体16を有する。素子本体16は、第1の光部品の嵌合ピン穴に対応する向きの嵌合ピン穴11aを持ち、かつ第1の光部品の接続端面に突き合わせ接続される接続端面11bを持つ第1接続部11と、第2の光部品の嵌合ピン穴に対応する向きの嵌合ピン穴12aを持ち、かつ第2の光部品の接続端面に突き合わせ接続される接続端面12bを持つ第2接続部12とを備え、かつ、第1接続部11の接続端面11bから屈曲部14bを経て第2接続部12の接続端面12bに向かう光ファイバ(光導波路)14を備えている。
