Abstract

　互いに光路方向の異なる、嵌合ピン位置決め方式の第１及び第２の２つの光部品間に介在して両光部品間の光接続を行うための光路変換素子であり、ブロック状の素子本体１６を有する。素子本体１６は、第１の光部品の嵌合ピン穴に対応する向きの嵌合ピン穴１１ａを持ち、かつ第１の光部品の接続端面に突き合わせ接続される接続端面１１ｂを持つ第１接続部１１と、第２の光部品の嵌合ピン穴に対応する向きの嵌合ピン穴１２ａを持ち、かつ第２の光部品の接続端面に突き合わせ接続される接続端面１２ｂを持つ第２接続部１２とを備え、かつ、第１接続部１１の接続端面１１ｂから屈曲部１４ｂを経て第２接続部１２の接続端面１２ｂに向かう光ファイバ（光導波路）１４を備えている。
