Abstract

 発光素子(1)は、異なる色が1つ以上含まれた複数個の発光ダイオード〔3(R1、G11、…)〕と、各発光ダイオード〔3(R1、G11、…)〕からの光を面発光させる導光体(4)とを備えており、複数個の発光ダイオードは導光体(4)に沿って一定の順序で並べられている。導光体(4)の幅方向(各発光ダイオード(3)の配列方向に沿った方向)における側面には、光を散乱させる散乱体(31)が設けられている。これにより、側端面側に配置された発光ダイオードの色による色付きが起こらず、充分に混色された白色光源を得る。
