Abstract

油脂類とアルコールとを反応させて脂肪酸アルキルエステル及び/又はグリセリンを製造する際に、触媒を繰り返し用いても活性金属成分の溶出が起こらず、水の存在下でも優れた触媒活性を長時間維持でき、油脂中に含まれるグリセリド類のエステル交換と遊離脂肪酸のエステル化の両反応に高活性を発揮でき、油脂中に含まれる遊離脂肪酸(FFA)等の不純物の存在下でも高い触媒活性を発揮することができる触媒を用いて、触媒の回収工程等の煩雑な工程を簡略化又は不要とし、高効率に食用や燃料等の用途に好適な脂肪酸アルキルエステル及び/又はグリセリンを製造する方法及びその触媒を提供することを目的とする。 油脂類とアルコールとを触媒の存在下に接触させる工程を含んでなる脂肪酸アルキルエステル及び/又はグリセリンの製造方法であって、該触媒は、マンガン化合物並びに4価の金属元素及び/又は4価の半金属元素の化合物を有する脂肪酸アルキルエステル及び/又はグリセリンの製造方法。
