Abstract

 スキッシュエリア(SA)の幅(W2)が大きく、スキッシュクリアランス(C2)が小さいためにピストン(13)の外周部からキャビティ(25)に向かって流れるスキッシュ流が大きい断面では、燃料噴射軸(Li2)がキャビティ(25)に衝突する衝突角(α2)を大きくし、逆にスキッシュエリア(SA)の幅が小さく、スキッシュクリアランスが大きいためにスキッシュ流が小さい断面では、燃料噴射軸がキャビティ(25)に衝突する衝突角を小さくする。これにより、スキッシュ流が小さい断面で燃料がキャビティ(25)の外部に流出する傾向が弱くなり、スキッシュ流が大きい断面で燃料がキャビティ(25)の外部に流出する傾向が強くなるため、キャビティ(25)の全域に亘って燃料および空気の混合状態を均一化することができる。
