Abstract

 ガス流路中の硫黄系ガスと接触させて硫黄系ガスを除去する硫黄系ガス除去フィルタ(1)であって、  ガス流路の上流側に配置される前段フィルタ(11)と、ガス流路の下流側に配置される後段フィルタ(12)とからなり、  前記前段フィルタ(11)が、多孔性担体と、該多孔性担体に担持されたヨウ素とからなる第一の硫黄系ガス除去材を備えるものであり、前記ヨウ素が、前記多孔性担体を触媒としてヨウ化アンモニウムを熱分解率80%以上で触媒熱分解することにより生成されたものであり、且つ、  前記後段フィルタ(12)が、活性炭素繊維と、該活性炭素繊維に担持されたアルカリ成分とからなる第二の硫黄系ガス除去材を備えるものである、 硫黄系ガス除去フィルタ。
