Abstract

 簡易かつ安価な構成とすることができる波長変換器を提供する。波長変換器は、入力光の波長と異なる波長を有する変換光を発生する波長変換器であって、(1)励起光を出力する励起光源と、(2)入力光と励起光とを合波して出力する光合波部と、(3)光合波部により合波されて出力された入力光および励起光を入力して導波し、その導波の間に生じる非線形光学現象によって変換光を発生するコイル状に巻かれた第一の光ファイバと、(4)第一の光ファイバの零分散波長を調整する零分散波長調整手段とを含む。
