Claims (20)
- 1.導波コアを含む少なくとも1つの光ファイバー部と、該光ファイバー部内に 設けられ、所定の初期周期性を有する周期的屈折率変化により構成されると共に 、誘導伝搬のための上記コア内に進入した光のうち、上記格子要素の周期性及び 屈折率変化により規定される中心波長周辺の狭帯域内の軸波長を有する光を、累 積的に方向転換する複数個の格子要素を含む、少なくとも1つの固定的ブラッグ 格子領域と、 所定の波長範囲内で上記中心波長を一時的に変化させるために、上記格子領域の 周期性及び屈折率変化のうち、少なくとも1つを調節変更する変更手段と を有することを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 2.請求項1記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記変更手段は、上記格子 領域に長手方向のひずみを印加するための印加手段を含む ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 3.請求項2記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記印加手段は、少なくと も上記格子領域と実質的に等しく延在し、温度変化に応答してその寸法を変える 上記光ファイバー部の一部と、該一部の温度を変化させる変化手段とを含むこと を特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 4.請求項3記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記光ファイバー部の上記 一部は、上記所定の波長範囲外の放射を吸収し、 上記変化手段は、上記放射による上記一部の加熱をもたらすため上記一部上に上 記放射を案内する案内手段を含むことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 5.請求項4記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記光ファイバー部の上記 一部は、上記コア内にあることを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 6.請求項5記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記案内手段は、上記放射 を上記コアに発射して長手方向に伝搬させるための発射手段を含む ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 7.請求項6記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記案内手段は、上記放射 を、上記光ファイバー部を実質的に横切って、上記コアの少なくとも上記格子領 域上に導くための手段を含む ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 8.請求項4記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記光ファイバー部は、さ らに、上記コアを囲むクラッドを含み、上記光ファイバー部の上記一部は上記ク ラッド内にあることを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 9.請求項3記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記光ファイバー部は、上 記コアを囲むクラッドを含み、上記光ファイバー部の上記一部は、所定の波長の 放射を吸収する物質からなると共に、上記クラッドを囲む層より構成され、上記 変化手段は、上記放射による上記層の加熱をもたらすため、上記光ファイバー部 を実質的に横切って上記層の上に上記放射を案内する案内手段を含む ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 10.請求項3記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記光ファイバー部は、 上記コアを囲むクラッドを含み、上記光ファイバー部の上記一部は、電流の通過 に対して顕著な抵抗を示す物質からなると共に、上記クラッドを囲む層により構 成され、 上記変化手段は、上記層の加熱をもたらすため、電流を上記層を通過して流すた めの手段を含む ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 11.請求項2記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記印加手段は、少なく とも上記格子領域と実質的に等しく延在し、印加される磁場の変化に応答して、 その寸法を変える上記光ファイバー部の一部と、該一部に印加される磁場を変化 させるための手段とを含むことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 12.請求項2記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記印加手段は、少なく とも上記格子領域と実質的に等しく延在し、印加される電場の変化に応答してそ の寸法を変える上記光ファイバー部の一部と、 該一部に印加される電場を変化させるための手段とを含むことを特徴とする可変 光フィルター構造。
- 13.請求項2記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記印加手段は、上記光 ファイバー部の、上記格子領域の長手方向両側に位置する上記光ファイバー部の 部分に、長手方向に沿った両方向の力を加えるための加圧手段を含むことを特徴 とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 14.請求項13記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記加圧手段は、外部 作用に応答して、その寸法の少なくとも1つを変化させる物質からなる支持部を 含み、上記光ファイバー部は、上記部分が、上記1つの寸法の方向に沿って所定 の距離だけ互いに離れた上記支持部の各位置に対して固定されるようにして上記 支持部に取り付けられ、上記加圧手段は、上記寸法及び上記所定距離に変化をも たらすため、上記支持部に上記外部作用を受けさせる作用手段を含むことを特徴 とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 15.請求項14記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記支持部は、実質的 に円筒形状を呈すると共に、周面を有し、上記1つの寸法は、上記周面の周回方 向であり、上記位置は、上記周面上にある ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 16.請求項15記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記光ファイバー部は 、上記周面のまわりに巻回されていることを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 17.請求項16記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記支持部は、圧電性 物質からなり、 上記作用手段は、上記1つの寸法を変化させるために、上記支持部に電位差を加 える手段を含む ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 18.請求項2記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記印加手段は、上記格 子要素の周期性及び上記中心波長における周期的変化をもたらすため、機械的振 動を、上記光ファイバー部の長手方向に伝搬させるための手段を含むことを特徴 とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 19.請求項1記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記変更手段は、上記コ アの物質の屈折率を一時的に変化させるような波長及び強度の調筋光を、少なく とも上記格子領域の上に選択的に導くための導光手段を含む ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
- 20.請求項19記載の可変光フィルター構造において、上記導光手段は、上記 調節光を上記コア内に発射して、長手方向に伝搬させるための手段を含む ことを特徴とする可変光フィルター構造。
