This invention relates to a wave coupled light source in which wave coupled light with high luminence is obtained without the use of optical means. In the wave coupled light source 100, the light emitted from a plurality of light source 1 is irradiated into the corresponding multi mode fiber optic cable 3 through the lens 2, and the light emitted from the multi mode fiber optic cable 3 is irradiated into the optical coupler 4. Thus, the wave coupled light is emitted through the fiber optic cable 5 of light-exit side.
