Abstract

　通常の自己支持型光ケーブルと同等の作業で布設ができ、また、余長処理のためのカール加工された巻回部分の取扱いや、布設時の処理が容易な光ケーブルとその布設方法を提供する。 　光ファイバ心線を外被で被覆した本体部１２，１２’と、該本体部に分離容易な首部で連結一体化された吊線部１３とを備えた光ケーブル１１，１１’であって、一方のケーブル端側で本体部１２，１２’と吊線部１３が分離され、分離された本体部分１２，１２’は、光ファイバの許容曲げ径以上の径で巻回保持された複数の巻回ターンからなる巻回部分１７を有し、吊線部１３上に巻回保持されている。前記の分離された本体部１２，１２’の円筒状の巻回部分１３は、カール加工で形成することができる。
