Abstract

 十分な耐久性を確保可能でありかつ単電池の低コスト化、及び大量生産に適した構成を有する、膜-膜補強部材接合体、膜-触媒層接合体、膜-電極接合体、及び高分子電解質形燃料電池を提供するために、セル(100)のMEA(5)における膜-触媒層接合体(30)の膜-膜補強部材接合体(20)が、高分子電解質膜(1)とこれにその主面が露出しないよう埋められた一対の第一膜補強部材(10a),(10a)及び一対の第二膜補強部材(10b),(10b)とを備え、前記一対の第一膜補強部材と前記一対の第二膜補強部材とが、高分子電解質膜(1)の四隅の部分において、該高分子電解質膜の厚み方向から見て重なるよう、井桁組状に埋められている。
