Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Empfangen von Druckdaten. Gemäß einem ersten Aspekt der vorliegenden Erfindung werden die Druckdaten vom Empfänger kopiert und auf einem Spiegel-Computersystem gespeichert, bevor der Empfang der Druckdaten dem entsprechenden Sender quittiert wird. Hierdurch wird die Gefahr eines Verlustes der Druckdaten auf Seiten des Empfängers erheblich verringert. Nach einem zweiten Aspekt der vorliegenden Erfindung werden die eingehenden Druckdaten anhand von in einem oder mehreren Headern enthaltener Parameter dahingehend überprüft, ob die Druckdaten von einem korrekten Sender stammen. Die entsprechende Parameterliste ist vom Empfänger frei einstellbar, wodurch er sehr spezifisch die Quellen, aus welchen er Druckdaten erhält, kontrollieren kann. Insbesondere können auch inhaltsbezogene Parameter der Druckdaten verwendet werden.
