Abstract

L'objet de l'invention est un dispositif d'appui pour une roue dans lequel l'étanchéité à l'air au niveau d'une section de raccord de joint est renforcée pour améliorer la performance d'étanchéisation. Ce dispositif d'appui pour une roue est pourvu d'un joint (8 (9)) installé dans une ouverture d'un espace annulaire formé entre un élément extérieur (10) et un élément intérieur (1). Le joint (8 (9)) est construit à partir d'un noyau (15 (20)) formé en formant sous pression une tôle d'acier et ajusté dans l'élément extérieur (10) au moyen d'un ajustement métal sur métal, et d'un élément de joint (16 (21)) doté d'une saillie (16d (21d)) jointe d'un seul tenant au noyau (15 (20)) et recouvrant une partie qui fait saillie et qui est exposée à l'extérieur de la surface périphérique extérieure du noyau (15 (20)). Une couche trempée prédéterminée (13 (14)) est formée au moyen d'une trempe par induction à partir d'une surface de laminage extérieure (10a) de l'élément extérieur (10) sur la surface (11 (12)) sur laquelle le joint (8 (9)) est ajusté. La couche trempée (13 (14)) repose sur une section de tube circulaire (15a (20a)) du noyau (15 (20)) et s'arrête à proximité d'une surface d'extrémité (10c (10d)) de l'élément extérieur (10).
