Definitions

  • the present invention uses a near-field light utilization head using near-field light having a resolution exceeding the diffraction limit by localizing light in a fine region, particularly using both near-field light and a magnetic field.

  • the coercive force is strong! / Coercive force is obtained by instantaneously heating a minute area of the recording medium.
  • a method of recording magnetization by reducing the force has been attracting attention. This is because an element serving as a heat source is formed in the vicinity of the magnetic recording element mounted on the air levitation slider, and the medium recording layer is generated by the magnetic field generated by the magnetic recording element while heating the surface of the recording medium by the heat radiated from the heat source. This is a method of reversing the magnetization.
