技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、集塵フィルタに付着した塵埃を自動的に取り除くための自動フィルタ 清掃装置及び空気調和装置に関するものである。
背景技術
[0002] 従来より、一般家庭等の室内空間の空気調和を行う空気調和装置が知られてい る。この空気調和装置では、長年の使用によりフィルタに塵埃が付着することで空調 性能が低下してしまうことから、ユーザーがフィルタを取り外して清掃する必要があつ た。
[0003] 特許文献 1には、フィルタを自動的に清掃するために、ロール回転型フィルタを空 気流路内に設置し、集塵後のフィルタをブラシ等による清掃部へ移動させ、清掃部 でフィルタ上のホコリを取り除き、取り除かれたホコリは集塵バックに集められることが 開示されている。

発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0005] し力しながら、従来のフィルタ清掃装置では、殺菌灯の紫外線で殺菌できるのは 紫外線が照射された部分だけである。したがって、従来のフィルタ清掃装置では、集 塵バック等に集められて積層されたゴミは殺菌することができず、集めたゴミの中で力 ビゃ細菌が繁殖し、繁殖したカビゃ細菌等が空気流露内に再飛散し、空気中にカビ や細菌をばら撒 、てしまうと 、う問題点があった。
[0006] 本発明は、力かる点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的は、集塵バック等に集 められたゴミの中でカビゃ細菌が繁殖することを抑制することにある。
課題を解決するための手段
[0007] 前記の目的を達成するため、本発明では、ストリーマ放電等の放電により発生す る高速電子やラジカル等の強力な活性種を、自動フィルタ清掃装置で取り除いて集 めたゴミに照射するようにした。
[0008] すなわち、第 1の発明は、空気流路(15)中に配設され、該空気流路(15)を流れる 空気中の塵埃を捕集する集塵フィルタ (25)を備えている。そして、前記集塵フィルタ (25)に付着した塵埃を取り除く清掃手段 (45)を備えている。更に、該清掃手段 (45) で取り除いた塵埃を保管する保管手段 (46)を備えている。カロえて、該保管手段 (46) に保管された塵埃に対して、放電により生成した活性種を供給する放電手段 (30)を 備えている。

ように構成されている。
[0014] 第 3の発明では、一対の電極の間でストリーマ放電が行われる。このストリーマ放 電により空気の絶縁破壊が生じると、空気中で活性種 (ラジカル、高速電子、励起分 子等)が発生する。ここで、ストリーマ放電は、例えばコロナ放電やグロ一放電と比較 して活性種の活動領域を高密度且つ広範囲に形成することができる。すなわち、スト リーマ放電は、他の放電と比較して高活性の活性種を多量に生成することができる。 従って、放電手段 (30)の単位設置スペースあたりの被処理成分の分解効率を向上 できる。

ストリーマ放電を進展させている。このようにすると、放電領域の電界密度が増し、活 性種の生成量を増大させることができる。このため、この空気調和装置(10)における 被処理成分の分解性能をさらに向上できる。また、放電極 (31)と対向極 (32)とは略 平行に配置されている。このため、放電ユニット(30)での長期に亘る放電によって、 放電極 (31)の先端が消耗して次第に後退しても、放電極 (31)と対向極 (32)との間の 距離を一定間隔に維持することができる。したがって、長期にわたって放電ユニット( 30)で安定的なストリーマ放電を継続することができる。
[0086] 次に、図 1、図 2に示すように、放電ユニット(30)の下流側には、放電ユニット(30) のストリーマ放電で生成した活性種で活性化されて被処理成分の分解を促進する触 媒ユニット (40)が配設されて!/ヽる。
[0087] 前記触媒ユニット (40)は、ハ-カム構造の基材の表面にプラズマ触媒を担持した ものである。前記プラズマ触媒には、マンガン系触媒や、いわゆる光触媒(二酸ィ匕チ タンや酸化亜鉛、あるいはタングステン酸ィ匕物や硫ィ匕カドミウム)などが用いられる。 この触媒ユニット (40)は、放電ユニット(30)のストリーマ放電で生成した活性種で活 性化されて被処理成分の分解を促進する触媒手段を構成している。また、触媒ュ- ット (40)の基材の表面には、被処理成分を吸着する吸着剤が担持されている。この 吸着剤には、例えばゼォライトや活性炭などが用いられる。
[0088] このように、本実施形態では、放電ユニット (30)と熱交 (20)との間に触媒ュニ ット (40)を配置している。このため、活性種で触媒ユニット (40)を活性化させて被処 理成分の分解性能をさらに向上できる。また、触媒ユニット (40)には、吸着剤を担持 させているため、空気中に残存する低濃度の被処理成分を、この吸着剤に吸着させ て除去することができる。
[0089] 前記熱交換器 (20)は、図示しない室外機と接続されており、冷媒が循環して冷凍 サイクルを行う冷媒回路の一部を構成している。この熱交翻 (20)は、いわゆるフィ ンアンドチューブ式の空気熱交換器を構成している。図 2に示すように、空気流路(1 5)には、 3台の熱交翻(21, 22, 23)が配置されている。第 1熱交翻(21)は、空気 流路(15)の上面寄りで、吸込口(12)の上端部近傍に配置されている。第 2熱交換器 (22)は、空気流路(15)の前面寄りで、吸込口(12)の下端部近傍に配置されている。
第 3熱交換器 (23)は、空気流路 (15)の後面寄りで、吸込口(12)の上端部近傍に配 置されている。
[0090] また、図 1に示すように、空気調和装置(10)の前面側右下部には、点灯ランプ等 でユーザーに所定の情報を通知する通知部(65)が設けられている。

次に、本実施形態の空気調和装置(10)の運転動作について説明する。なお、以 下には空気調和装置(10)の冷房運転動作を例示して説明する。
[0096] 図 2に示すように、空気調和装置(10)の運転時には、ファン(14)が運転状態とな る。また、直流電源 (50)から放電ユニット (30)に直流電圧が印加され、放電ユニット( 30)でストリーマ放電が行われる。さらに、熱交 (20)の内部には低圧の液冷媒が 流通し、この熱交 (20)が蒸発器として機能する。
[0097] 室内空気が吸込口(12)力 ケーシング(11)内に導入されると、この空気は放電 ユニット(30)及び触媒ユニット (40)の近傍を流通する。
[0098] 図 4に示すように、放電ユニット(30)では、放電極 (31)の先端力 対向極 (32)に 向かってストリーマ放電が行われる。そして、放電ユニット(30)の近傍では、このストリ 一マ放電によって上述の活性種が生成されている。このため、空気中の被処理成分
は、前記活性種によって酸ィ匕分解される。
[0099] ここで、図 5に示す第 1のダンパ部材 (61)が開位置に回動され、第 2のダンパ部材
(62)が閉位置に回動されて、放電ユニット (30)で生成された活性種の供給方向が、 集塵フィルタ (25)に向力う方向に制御される。
[0100] さらに、活性種は、触媒ユニット (40)のプラズマ触媒を活性ィ匕させる。その結果、 空気中の被処理成分がさらに分解される。
[0101] また、このような被処理成分と活性種との反応後に、なお空気中に被処理成分が 残存する場合、これらの残存した被処理成分が触媒ユニット (40)の吸着剤に吸着さ れる。また、前記活性種と被処理成分との反応後に、新たな副生成物が生じる場合 にも、これらの副生成物も触媒ユニット (40)の吸着剤に吸着される。
[0102] 放電ユニット(30)、触媒ユニット (40)及び集塵フィルタ (25)を経て清浄化された 空気は、熱交換器 (20)を流通する。熱交換器 (20)では、空気から冷媒の蒸発熱が 奪われ、被処理空気の冷却が行われる。以上のようにして清浄化及び温調された空 気は、吹出口(13)から室内空間へ供給される。
[0103] ここで、空気調和装置(10)を使用し続けると、集塵フィルタ (25)に塵埃が付着し て空調性能が低下するおそれがある。そのため、集塵フィルタ (25)を定期的に清掃 しなければならない。以下、集塵フィルタ (25)の清掃動作について説明する。なお、 集塵フィルタ (25)の清掃動作は、空調運転停止時や、ユーザーがリモコン等で所定 の操作を行うことにより開始されるものとする。
[0104] 清掃動作が開始されると、まず、集塵フィルタ (25)のローラ両端部に配設された 回転ローラ (26)が回転する。集塵フィルタ (25)のローラ下端部には清掃ブラシ (45) が接触した状態で配設されているため、集塵フィルタ (25)の回転移動に伴って清掃 ブラシ (45)によりフィルタ表面に付着した塵埃が払い落とされる。清掃ブラシ (45)で 取り除かれた塵埃は、保管部 (46)に保管される。
[0105] 次に、放電ユニット (30)に設けられた第 1のダンパ部材 (61)が閉位置に回動され 、第 2のダンパ部材 (62)が開位置に回動される。これにより、放電ユニット (30)で生 成された活性種が保管部 (46)に供給される。

[0109] また、図 8に示すように、集塵フィルタ(25)に正の電荷を与え、保管部 (46)側に負 の電荷を与えるようにし、フィルタに付着した塵埃をクーロン力で剥ぎ取るようにしても よい。
[0110] また、図 9に示すように、清掃ブラシ (45)の代わりにファンやポンプ力もなる電気 集塵装置を用い、フィルタに付着した塵埃を吸引力により取り除くようにしてもよい。
[0111] また、前記実施形態では、集塵フィルタ (25)として無端ロール型のベルト状フィル タを用いたが、この形態に限定するものではなぐ例えば、図 10に示すように、二端口 ール型の往復ベルト状フィルタを用いても構わない。この場合には、ロール型に比べ て空気流れ方向の下流側の通風抵抗がなくなり、熱交換器 (20)に対してスムーズに 空気を供給することができる。
[0112] また、図 11に示すように、二端蛇腹型のベルト状フィルタを用いても構わない。こ の場合、フィルタ両面を送り出しローラ (28)で挟み込んで回転させることで、集塵フィ ルタ(25)を下方に移動させることができるようになって!/、る。ここで、清掃ブラシ (45) は、集塵フィルタ (25)表面の上流側に接触するように、空気流れ方向と平行に配設 されている。また、保管部 (46)は、清掃ブラシ (45)の下方に配設されている。
[0113] なお、このような清掃ブラシ (45)の配置では、集塵フィルタ (25)を片側力 押さえ つけることになるため、集塵フィルタ (25)における清掃ブラシ (45)の接触部分を反対 面からローラで支持するように構成することが好まし 、。

この場合の清掃ブラシ (45)及び保管部 (46)の配置は、図 12の場合と同様である。

)において塵埃を取り除く構成としたが、この形態に限定するものではなぐ清掃ブラ シ (45)及び保管部 (46)側を集塵フィルタ (25)上で移動させて、自主的に塵埃を回 収するような構成にしても構わない。
[0116] この場合、放電ユニット(30)を清掃ブラシ (45)及び保管部 (46)とともにフィルタ上 を移動させて、その移動中に集塵フィルタ (25)全体及び保管部 (46)に対して活性種 を供給したり、又は放電ユニット (30)を所定の位置で待機させておき、塵埃を回収し 終えた清掃ブラシ (45)及び保管部 (46)を放電ユニット (30)の待機位置まで移動させ た後、保管部 (46)に対して活性種を供給するようにする等、その他にも様々な形態 が考えられる。
産業上の利用可能性
[0117] 以上説明したように、本発明は、集塵バック等に集められたゴミの中でカビゃ細菌 が繁殖することを抑制することができるという実用性の高い効果が得られることから、 きわめて有用で産業上の利用可能性は高い。
Claims
[1] 空気流路(15)中に配設され、該空気流路(15)を流れる空気中の塵埃を捕集する 集塵フィルタ (25)と、
前記集塵フィルタ (25)に付着した塵埃を取り除く清掃手段 (45)と、
該清掃手段 (45)で取り除 、た塵埃を保管する保管手段 (46)と、
該保管手段 (46)に保管された塵埃に対して、放電により生成した活性種を供給 する放電手段 (30)とを備えて!/、る
ことを特徴とする自動フィルタ清掃装置。
[2] 請求項 1において、
前記放電手段 (30)による活性種の供給方向を、前記保管手段 (46)に向かう方向 と前記集塵フィルタ (25)に向力う方向とに切り替える切り替え手段 (60)を備えている ことを特徴とする自動フィルタ清掃装置。
[3] 請求項 1において、
前記放電手段 (30)は、ストリーマ放電を行うように構成されている
ことを特徴とする自動フィルタ清掃装置。
[4] 請求項 1において、
前記集塵フィルタ (25)を前記清掃手段 (45)に対して移動させることにより、該清 掃手段 (45)にお 、て塵埃が取り除かれるように構成されて!、る

前記集塵フィルタ(25)は、無端ロール型のベルト状フィルタで構成され、 前記集塵フィルタ (25)の回転移動により該集塵フィルタ (25)に付着した塵埃が前 記清掃手段 (45)によって取り除かれる
ことを特徴とする自動フィルタ清掃装置。

前記集塵フィルタ(25)は、空気流れ方向の下流側部の網目が上流側部の網目よ りも大きく形成されている
ことを特徴とする自動フィルタ清掃装置。

前記清掃手段 (45)は、前記集塵フィルタ (25)上を移動して該集塵フィルタ (25) に付着した塵埃を取り除くように構成されて 、る

前記放電手段 (30)は、放電極 (31)と該放電極 (31)に対向する対向極 (32)とを 備え、
前記放電極 (31)及び前記対向極 (32)は、前記保管手段 (46)に向かう方向に放 電するように配設されている

前記保管手段 (46)は、装置本体に着脱自在に取り付けられている ことを特徴とする自動フィルタ清掃装置。

前記清掃手段 (45)による清掃を開始してから所定期間が経過したときに、前記保 管手段 (46)に保管された塵埃の廃棄を促す情報をユーザーに対して通知する通知 手段 (65)を備えている
ことを特徴とする自動フィルタ清掃装置。
[11] 請求項 1において、
前記清掃手段 (45)による清掃を行った回数をカウントし所定回数に達したときに 、前記保管手段 (46)に保管された塵埃の廃棄を促す情報をユーザーに対して通知 する通知手段 (65)を備えて!/、る
