Definitions
- the invention relates to a vehicle roof with a roof part which can be exposed with its trailing edge and which can be displaced above the roof according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Such a vehicle roof is known from EP 0 863 817 B1.
- an openable roof part is raised by means of a rear opening mechanism and transferred at the beginning of the sliding movement to a separate support lever which is slidably mounted in an upwardly open, laterally offset extension of the guide rail with its lower end.
- both elements are engaged for a short movement phase, whereby a static overdetermination arises.
- the drive may require increased drive forces in this phase, which also negatively influence a sensor system for anti-trap protection.
- the invention has for its object to further develop a vehicle roof such that the openable roof part is continuously supported by the release lever during the exhibition and during the displacement.
- the invention provides in essence that the trailing edge of the sliding roof part is continuously supported in all movement positions by the same deployment lever, so that no transfer to separate support lever must be done.
- the release levers are actuated by control slides, which are moved from the closed position on the fan position to the full open position in the same direction.
- the control slides also actuate a locking device which blocks displacement of the roof part during the deploying movement.
- the locking device is formed by a pivotally hinged on the release lever locking lever.
- a locking bolt is arranged, which is in engagement with a roof-fixed gate.
- a control pin is further arranged, which is in engagement with a control link of the control carriage.
- release lever is simultaneously with a front sliding element and with a rear sliding element in engagement with the control link of the control slide.
- the displaceable roof element is at least pivotally articulated near its front edge on a front carriage, wherein this front carriage is in communication with the control carriage via a control lever.
- the control lever is preferably pivotally hinged to the front carriage via a hinge.
- the control lever preferably has a slide into which the control slide engages with a control pin.
- This gate preferably has a straight portion which allows a displacement of the control slide relative to the still stationary front slide when exhibiting in the fan position.
- the gate also preferably has a bent portion through which a locking pin arranged on the control lever is unlocked by means of the control pin in the process of the roof part to the rear and thereby allows in the course of the opening movement, a synchronous movement of the front carriage with the control slide.
- the deployment lever is preferably formed in two parts with an outer leg and an inner leg.
- the two legs surround the control slide partly on both sides.
- On one of the legs of the Verriegelungsein- direction is fixed, while at least on the other leg sliding elements are arranged for engagement in the control link.
- the front sliding element preferably has a link with at least one rising portion, in which a sliding element of a front connection of the displaceable roof part is displaceably mounted.
- the displaceable roof part is additionally liftable at the front and can thus be lifted off from a seal in the front region of the roof opening and secondly the roof part can thereby assume a flatter inclination when moving backwards, which sets less resistance to the airstream.
- the invention is particularly suitable for an externally guided sunroof (ASD).
- ASD externally guided sunroof
- This can also be advantageous part of a so-called fixed-element Cabriolets, in which a sunroof function initially allows partial opening of the roof before the entire roof moves into a storage space and thereby releases the entire interior upwards.

- the front slide 10 is initially held unchanged in its position via the control lever 20 (FIG. 8), since the control pin 56 of the control slide 50 is still in the horizontal part 23 of the slide 22.
- An advantage of the mechanism described above for an externally guided sunroof is that the drive from the closed position over the Ausstellposition the trailing edge to the full open position via a single control slide 50 in the same direction. All this required temporary locking of the front slide 10 and the release lever 40 against premature displacement are controlled directly or indirectly by this control slide 50.
- the mechanics build compared to the beginning acknowledged state of the art significantly smaller.
- a single continuous guide rail 7 is used on each side, which merges into the rear guide 46 for supporting the deployment lever 40.
- the width of the mechanism in the Y direction is also significantly reduced.
- the mechanism described above is reduced to a minimum.
- the flat arcuate link 54 requires minimal driving forces to produce the dispensing movement for the deployment lever 40. It ensures a continuous jerk-free operation of the roof part 3, which also allows passage from the closed position to the full open position, without requiring high and erratic driving forces would be necessary that could fool a pinch protection sensor. Abstract
