[0016] 本発明のゴルフボールクリーナ 10は、特にゴルフボール 15がグリーン上に載った 時に使用される頻度が高レ、。グリーン上に載った自分のボルフボール 10が汚れてい る場合、まずグリーン上で各自のズボンのポケット 31からゴルフボールクリーナ 10を 取り出し、図 8に示すように、クリーナ本体 11を左手 33で包み込むようにして持ち、舌 片 27を引っ張り上げて蓋体 14を開ける。次いで、汚れているゴルフボール 15をタリ ーナ本体 11の凹部 12の中に入れ、例えば右手 34の親指、人差し指および中指の 三本指でゴノレフボール 15をしつ力 と持ち、拭取り部 13に押し付けながら回転させ、 ボルフボール 15の表面全体を拭取り部 13によって拭くことで、表面に付着した汚れ をきれいに拭き取ることができる。拭取り部 13としてのスポンジ体は、凹部 12の内壁 面 12aから突出する突起 16に係合されていると共に、上端部が縁飾り 18のストッパ 壁 20によって押えられているので、ゴルフボール 15を拭取り部 13に強く押し付けな 力 Sら回転させも一緒に回転してしまうことがない。そのため、拭取り部 13の上でゴルフ ボール 15の表面を万遍なく回転させることができ、拭取り効果が十二分に発揮される 。このようにして、ゴルフボール 15の表面全体をきれいに拭取ることができたら、タリ ーナ本体 11の凹部 12を蓋体 14によって閉じたのち、ズボンのポケット 31の中に仕 舞い込み、表面がきれいになったゴルフボール 15を元の位置に戻してプレーを再開 する。
[0017] 上記のように、クリーナ本体 11の外形は、ゴルフボール 15と同じような球面形状を しているので、片手に包み込むようにして持つことができ、片手で持ちやすい上にゴ ルフボール 15を拭く時にもしつ力、りと支えることができる。また、凹部 12の湾曲面も、 ゴルフボール 15とほぼ同じ曲面形状をしているので、ゴルフボール 15を回転させや すレ、。そのため、拭取り部 13の上でゴルフボール 15の表面を万遍なく回転させるこ とができ、ゴルフボール 15の表面を拭き残すことがない。 [0018] 図 9及び図 10は本発明に係るゴルフボールクリーナの第 2実施形態を示したもので ある。この実施形態に係るゴノレフボールクリーナ 40は、先の実施形態と同様、タリー ナ本体 41と蓋体 44とで構成される力 クリーナ本体 41の凹部 42の深さをさらに浅く 形成してある点で異なる。すなわち、凹部 42の湾曲面は先の実施形態における凹部 12の曲率半径より大きく設定してあり、凹部 42の湾曲形状が緩くなつている。そのた め、ゴノレフボール 15がさらに回転しやすくなり、より一層拭き易くなる。なお、凹部 42 の内壁面 42aにはスポンジ体などからなる拭取り部 43に係合する複数の小さな突起 46が設けられている力 この突起 46の配置は前記実施形態における突起 16の配置 と異なっている。
[0019] 一方、蓋体 44は先の実施形態と同様、クリーナ本体 41の開口端部に装着される縁 飾り 48に樹脂ヒンジ 53を介して一体に成形される。また、蓋体 44は、クリーナ本体 4 1の凹部 42を閉じるための円形状の平板蓋 55と、その外周に段差を持って形成され るフランジ 56と、フランジ 56から外方に向かって水平に延びる舌片 57とで構成される 力 先の実施形態とは異なって、前記舌片 57の近傍には係止爪 58がフランジ 56の 縦壁に突出形成されている。この係止爪 58を縁飾り 48に形成された係止溝 59に係 合させることで蓋体 44の半閉め状態を防ぐことができる。
[0020] 本発明に係るゴルフボールクリーナは、クリーナ本体の形状が、先の実施形態で示 したものに限定されないことは勿論であり、基本的にはゴルフボールが拭き易いよう な湾曲面の凹部を有するものであれば、その大きさや形状、深さなどの違いに多少 の幅があっても構わなレ、。
産業上の利用可能性
[0021] 最近のゴルフ場では、セルフ方式のプレーの割合が非常に多くなつてきている。そ のような場合に、各プレーヤが本発明のゴルフボールクリーナをそれぞれ所有し、必 要な時には即座に取り出して使用すれば非常に便利であると同時に使い勝手も良い 。使用時には一方の手でクリーナ本体を持ち、他方の手でゴルフボールを把持して 凹部内で回転させるだけで表面に付着した汚れなどを簡単に拭き取ることができる。 符号の説明

請求の範囲
[1] 湾曲面を有する凹部と、この凹部の内壁面に形成された拭取り部とを備えることを 特徴とするゴルフボールクリーナ。
[2] 湾曲面を有する凹部およびその凹部の内壁面に拭取り部が形成されたクリーナ本 体と、
このクリーナ本体の前記凹部を開閉する蓋体とを備えることを特徴とするゴノレフボー ルクリーナ。
[3] 前記凹部がゴルフボールの曲面にほぼ対応した湾曲面またはゴノレフボールの曲面 より大きな曲率半径の湾曲面を有する請求項 1又は 2記載のゴルフボールクリーナ。
[4] 前記凹部がゴルフボールの半径寸法とほぼ同じ深さ又はゴルフボールの半径寸法 より浅い深さに形成されている請求項 1又は 2記載のゴノレフボールクリーナ。
[5] 前記クリーナ本体の外形が曲面形状である請求項 1又は 2記載のゴノレフボールタリ ーナ。
[6] 前記拭取り部が凹部の内壁面に沿って敷かれたスポンジ体によって形成されてい る請求項 1又は 2記載のゴルフボールクリーナ。
[7] 前記凹部の内壁面にはスポンジ体に係合する突起が設けられている請求項 5記載 のゴルフボールクリーナ。
[8] 前記蓋体がクリーナ本体とは樹脂ヒンジによって連結されている請求項 2記載のゴ ノレフボーノレクリーナ。
