Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Ultraschall-Strömungssensor mit wenigstens einem Ultraschallwandler (A,B) zum Aussenden und Empfangen von Ultraschallsignalen (A0,B0) und einer am Ultraschallswandler (A,B) angeordneten Empfangseinheit (4), die einen Nulldurchgang (N) des Ultraschallsignals (A0,B0) als Empfangszeitpunkt detektiert, nachdem das Ultraschallsignal (A0,B0) einen vorgegebenen Schwellenwert (SW) überschritten hat. Die Messgenauigkeit des Sensors kann wesentlich verbessert werden, wenn die Empfangseinheit (4) den Zeitpunkt einer das Ultraschallsignal (A0,B0) kennzeichnenden Größe ermittelt und die relative zeitlicheVerschiebung (deltat) der kennzeichnenden Größe (Ampmax,Ts) zu dem als Empfangszeitpunkt (to) detektierten Nulldurchgang (N0 bzw. N1) bestimmt.
