Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appuie-tête (15) destiné à un siège de véhicule, comprenant un support de tête capitonné (13) qui présente un capitonnage, est monté pour pouvoir pivoter par rapport à une armature de support (1), autour d'un axe de pivotement sensiblement horizontal, et est précontraint par une force de rappel pour effectuer un mouvement de pivotement, dans une direction de pivotement, autour de l'axe de pivotement, par rapport à l'armature de support (1), le mouvement de pivotement du support de tête capitonné (13) ayant pour conséquence la passage dudit support d'une position d'utilisation à une autre position dans laquelle il se trouve plus en avant que dans la première. L'appuie-tête de l'invention comprend également un dispositif de verrouillage (21) qui agit entre l'armature de support (1) et le support de tête capitonné (13), garantit le maintien du support de tête capitonné (13) dans sa position d'utilisation, et libère celui-ci en cas de collision. L'appuie-tête (15) se caractérise en ce que le dispositif de verrouillage (21) comprend au moins un élément d'arrêt (23) qui peut pivoter au moyen d'un actionneur, d'une position d'arrêt dans laquelle il maintien le support de tête capitonné (13) dans sa position d'utilisation, à une position de relâchement dans laquelle le support de tête capitonné est relâché.
