Abstract

L'invention concerne une munition encartouchée, notamment une munition d'exercice, qui présente une douille de cartouche (3) et un projectile (2) inséré dedans. Il est prévu, dans la douille de cartouche, une chambre de charge propulsive (4) qui loge une charge propulsive (5) pouvant être mise à feu par un dispositif de mise à feu pyrotechnique (13) et dégageant des gaz propulseurs qui agissent sur le fond (8) du projectile et l'expulsent de la douille de cartouche. L'invention vise à éviter, qu'en présence de températures ambiantes élevées, notamment en cas d'incendie, le dispositif de mise à feu pyrotechnique (13) et par conséquent également la charge propulsive (5) ne s'enflamment et que la douille de cartouche et le projectile ne se séparent par craquelage et ne soient projetés. A cet effet, il est prévu, selon l'invention, entre la chambre de charge propulsive et l'extérieur de la douille de cartouche (3), des canaux de détente (14), qui sont remplis d'un matériau fusible, notamment un métal fusible (15). Le métal liquide présente un point de fusion inférieur à la température d'inflammation du dispositif de mise à feu (13). Si la température ambiante de la douille de cartouche dépasse la température de fusion du matériau fusible, ce dernier fond et libère les canaux de détente (14), de sorte que lors d'une mise à feu ultérieure de la charge propulsive, cette dernière se consume sans montée en pression et que la douille de cartouche et le projectile demeurent solidaires l'un de l'autre.
