As a result, bactericidal acidic water having an effective chlorine concentration of 80 ppm and a pH of 4.0 was obtained from the anode side. At this time, the average electrolytic current density was 11 ImAZcm 2 , and a much higher electrolytic efficiency was obtained compared to the average electrolytic current density of 20-30 mAZcm 2 in the electrolytic cell using the conventional electrode.
