Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drive system for actuating foldable building locks.
  • Building closures of this type can be designed, for example, as louvre windows, ventilation flaps or smoke flaps.
  • a drive system for actuating such building locks is known from EP 0764 754 Bl.
  • This drive system essentially consists of a rack and pinion drive with a drive member rotatable about an axis, with a rack and with a guide member pivotable about the axis of the drive member, which consists of two halves which receive the rack between them and guide them laterally.
  • the guide element also supports the rack on the back of the rack via rollers, the axes of which penetrate the halves and connect them to one another.
  • a bearing housing which can be attached to a building part and which rotatably supports the drive element is provided.
  • the drive member comprises a shaft on which a pinion is formed.
  • the two halves of the guide member rest on the outside of the pinion on both sides and have bearings in which the shaft is rotatably received on both sides of the pinion.
  • the bearing housing surrounds the guide member and also has bearings for the shaft.
  • the drive system requires an undesirably large installation volume due to the travel path of the rack.
  • Such an installation volume is not available in many arrangements with building locks.
  • the means for actuating the louvre window elements which form the foldable building locks must be integrated in profiles which are seated on a bolt.
  • the lower ends of the toothed racks must be led out over the lower edges of the profiles so that the necessary travel paths can be realized with the toothed racks in order to be able to adjust the louvre window elements in the desired manner.
  • suitable holes have to be machined into the bolt, in which the ends of the toothed racks protruding over the profiles are guided.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a drive system of the type mentioned, by means of which a reliable and precise actuation of foldable building locks is made possible at low cost and assembly costs.
  • the drive system has at least two movably mounted actuators for adjusting the building locks for actuating foldable building locks.
  • the actuators are each connected to a guide element, each guide element being slidably mounted in a profile.
  • Each guide element is encircled by a fenden chain of a chain drive fixed, and has a central drive for the chains circulating in the profiles.
  • chain and chain drive are to be interpreted generally to include chain-like drives such as toothed belt drives.
  • An essential advantage of the drive system according to the invention is that the chains forming the components of the chain drive can be easily inserted as modules into the profiles. It is particularly advantageous that, in contrast to toothed racks, the chains remain completely within the profiles even during their operation.
  • the profiles can thus be placed on frame elements, such as transoms for louvre windows, without having to work holes or the like in these frame elements.
  • the building locks which can be actuated with the drive system according to the invention can be designed in particular as louvre windows, ventilation flaps or smoke extraction flaps.
  • At least two actuators which are preferably designed as push rods, are used to actuate such building locks. These are adjusted via a respective guide element, which is moved in the respective profile by the assigned chain.
  • Another significant advantage of the drive system according to the invention is that the chains in the individual profiles are driven by a common drive. A particularly simple and reliable synchronization of the movements of the chains in the individual profiles is thereby achieved. In comparison to systems with separate drives for each chain, there is no control that synchronizes the movements of the individual chains. A considerable cost saving is thus achieved with the drive system according to the invention.
  • the chains are coupled to the drive each with a shaft which is guided by the drive onto a chain wheel driving the respective chain.
  • This coupling has an inexpensive structure and ensures the synchronous drive of the chains in a simple manner.
  • the drive is particularly advantageously arranged in the middle between the two profiles, the components of the chain drive having a structure which is symmetrical with respect to the position of the drive. This ensures identical power transmission to both actuators in a particularly simple manner.
