- These pull-out boxes are usually used at heights of up to approx. 1.4 m above the floor, since the pull-out boxes make it more difficult to access the frozen food in the installation positions above.
- Compartments of a freezer at a height of more than 1.4 m are therefore usually closed by flaps which are hinged to the inner container of the freezer and, in the open state, allow access to the compartment behind in the horizontal direction.
- Such flaps can not be provided on all compartments of a refrigerator, since they force a user to crouch in front of deep compartments in order to access rear areas of the compartments and thus make access considerably more difficult than in a pull-out box.
- the height below which pull-out boxes should be used for convenient access or more practical above the flaps varies depending on the size and mobility of a user.
- the height at which a compartment will be located in the interior of such a device after installation is not fixed in advance, so that it is difficult for a refrigeration device manufacturer to optimally divide the interior of a refrigeration device into compartments with pull-out boxes and compartments to be determined in advance with flaps.
- a pull-out box for a refrigeration device in which a pivotable front flap is articulated on an upper edge of the box.
- the flap opens automatically when the box is pulled forward, as a boom is pushed down by a threshold on the ceiling of the interior of the refrigerator.
- the box cannot be pulled far enough out of the refrigerator to allow access to its contents from above, since the flap would then close again and its extension would prevent it from being pushed back.
- the articulation of the flap in the upper region of the box limits the free cross section available for loading and unloading objects.
- An object of the invention is to provide a pull-out box for a refrigerator, which allows convenient loading and unloading both from the front and from above.

- the tongue and groove connection which remains in this state, on the one hand stabilizes the pull-out drawer even in the open position of the front flap, and on the other hand it facilitates the restoration of the complete engagement of tongue and groove when the front flap is closed.
- the front edges of the side walls can be connected to one another in their upper region by a cross strut.
- a cross strut hinders the loading and unloading of refrigerated goods from the pull-out box through the front flap, in a preferred embodiment the front edges of the side walls are unconnected in their upper region.
- the front edges of the side walls and the front flap are preferably provided with locking means that are complementary to one another.
- the front flap In order to be able to produce or release the latching of the front flap, it is preferably mounted on the body with play in the longitudinal direction of the front edges.
- the front flap is advantageously provided with at least one latch which can be displaced between a position in which it allows the front flap to be opened and a position in which it blocks opening.
- a latch can be used by a user of the refrigeration device in order to block the opening of the front flap in the case of low-lying pull-out boxes in which the front flap should not swing open when pulling on it, but rather the entire pull-out box should be pulled out.
- Such a latch is expediently stable in both positions, so that on the one hand the above-mentioned blocking of the opening is permanent, and on the other hand the possibility of swiveling back the front flap is retained even when the front flap is pivoted into the closed position when the pull-out box is lying high.
- the position of the latch is expediently visible on the outside of the front flap, so that a user can immediately see a pull-out box whether it can be pulled out or opened.
- a handle area for pulling on the pull-out box or for swinging open the front flap is expediently formed on an area of the front flap that is distant from a pivot axis of the front flap.
- a second grip area can be formed on a region of the front flap that is adjacent to the pivot axis. Such a grip area is particularly suitable for pulling the pull-out box out of the refrigerator.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a refrigerator with an interior divided into several compartments, which allows each user, regardless of their body size and mobility and regardless of the installation height of the refrigerator, the type of access to the individual compartments that is optimal for them, without that the internal parts of the refrigerator must be replaced.
- each compartment is equipped with a pull-out box that can be pulled out or opened at the front, such optimal access is possible.

Their position is defined by two journals 6, each of which protrude outwards from the side walls 3 and engage in elongated holes 7 which are formed in side flanks 8 of the front flap 5 which are parallel to the side walls 3.
- the front edges 11 of the side walls 3 form two springs which can engage in complementary grooves 13 of the front flap 5 which are delimited by the side flanks 8 and walls 12 parallel to these.
- the engagement of the front edges 11 in the grooves 13 is restricted to only a short section near the lower end of the edges 11.
- the front flap 5 is pivoted into its closed position, this engagement is extended, until it finally extends over the entire height of the edges 11.
- the persistence of the engagement in the open position of the flap 5 and its gradual extension when the flap 5 is closed have the advantage that in the event of a deformation of the body 1, if the front edges 11 are bent towards or away from one another in their upper region, such a deformation is eliminated by closing the front flap 5.
- the closing of the front flap 5 never fails because the edge of one of the side flanks 8 and the walls 12 collides with the front edge 11, which is assigned as a spring, of one of the side walls 3.

- a grip area 17 is arranged centrally along the upper edge of the front flap 5.
- the grip area 17 is formed by an upwardly open recess, which enables a user to grip behind an undercut wall piece 18 (outlined in dashed lines in FIG. 1) and pull the pull-out box as a whole by pulling the wall piece 18 forward when the front flap 5 is locked pull out the refrigerator or, with the front cover 5 unlocked, pivot the latter into its open position.
- the slide 14 and the latch 15 are omitted.
- a user it is possible for a user to either swing open the front flap 5 by pulling on the handle area 15 or, by simultaneously exerting a pressure downwards on the front flap 5, which prevents the front flap 5 from sliding up on the locking pins 9, pulling out the pull-out box.
- an additional grip area 19 is formed at the lower edge of the front flap 5, at the level of the axis of rotation defined by the journal 6. This grip area 19, which is open at the bottom, is particularly easy for a user to grasp when the drawer is arranged below the chest height of the user.
- Fig. 4 shows a perspective view of a freezer 21, the interior of which is divided into a plurality of compartments, each of which receives a pull-out box 22 as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
- a user can determine for each individual pull-out box 22 by adjusting the slide 14 whether access to the pull-out box 22 by pulling out the entire box or by Swinging open the front flap should be possible. It is therefore sufficient for the freezer 21 to have a uniform interior to meet the needs of all users.
