Sliding bolts; locks, key and permutation; fastenings. - A bandoperated sliding bolt a, Fig. 3, for doors, gates, trunks, boxes, &c. is held in its shot position by a vertical sliding piece e, Fig. 4, which takes into a gap a<4> ; the piece e is shot by a spring f, and is withdrawn by a key g which h - presses the slider h down against the tail e'. A second sliding piece i operated by hand locks the piece e in its locked and open position by engaging the slot e<2>.
