Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Lichtquelle, insbesondere eine Projektionslichtquelle für ein Projektionssystem, mit einer Vielzahl von Halbleiterchips und mindestens zwei, bevorzugt drei verschiedenen, elektromagnetische Strahlung emittierenden Chipsorten mit unterschiedlichen Emissionsspektren, wobei jeder Halbleiterchip eine Chipauskoppelfläche aufweist, durch die Strahlung ausgekoppelt wird. Desweiteren weist die Lichtquelle eine Vielzahl von Primäroptikelementen auf, wobei jedem Halbleiterchip ein Primäroptikelement zugeordnet ist, das jeweils einen Lichteingang und einen Lichtausgang aufweist und durch das die Divergenz zumindest eines Teils der von dem Halbleiterchip bei dessen Betrieb emittierten Strahlung verringert wird. Die Halbleiterchips sind mit den Primäroptikelementen in mindestens zwei örtlich voneinander getrennten Gruppen angeordnet, so dass die Gruppen bei Betrieb der Halbleiterchips separate Lichtkegel aussenden. Die separaten Lichtkegel der Gruppen werden mittels einer Sekundäroptik zu einem gemeinsamen Lichtkegel überlagert.
