Le dispositif selon l'invention permet d'une part d'employer des têtes de radar (2) avec ou sans équipement radar, et de tourner la tête de radar de 180° pour le contrôle sélectif des deux sens de circulation. Une telle colonne radar est nettement plus efficace que les colonnes monopièce pouvant tourner d'un seul bloc.
