Definitions
- the present invention relates to a guide element for a sliding door, in particular an all-glass sliding door, and a sliding wall consisting of suspended, displaceable elements.
- Guide elements for sliding doors are known in a wide variety of designs and designs. They can be attached to the floor and / or ceiling area to form a guide for a sliding door. In particular with all-glass sliding doors, there is the problem that these glass sliding doors are commercially available in different thicknesses. Common dimensions are e.g. B. 8, 10, 12 and 13.5 mm. In order to ensure an essentially play-free guide for such a door, a corresponding guide element must therefore be kept ready for each thickness. This not only increases the storage and manufacturing costs, but also requires the installation of several differently wide guide elements for the fitters or maintenance personnel. All of this is costly and material intensive.
- the guide element according to the invention has the advantage that it is of particularly simple construction. It only needs two parts, which, depending on their mutual assignment, can accommodate and guide a large number of sliding doors of different thicknesses. This means that only a single guide element is required, which fits all sliding doors. This lowers the material, storage and manufacturing costs.
- the two parts are formed by a base body and a guide body which can be inserted into the base body in different positions.
- the invention provides that the base body is essentially U-shaped in cross section and the two legs of the U delimit the guide groove.
- the two legs of the U thus form a lateral guide for the sliding door or the individual wing.
- the guide body is designed as a circular sleeve which can be inserted into a circular and essentially central receiving opening in the base body.
- This embodiment ensures that the base body and the guide body form a functional unit which ensures that the sliding door is guided in a functionally appropriate manner.
- the guide sleeve contributes its part to an essentially play-free guidance of sliding doors of different thicknesses provided that the guide body is also U-shaped in cross section and the two legs of the U limit the guide groove.
- each leg has an off-center elevation, which preferably extends over the height of the leg.
- the elevation of one leg is arranged point-symmetrically to the elevation of the other leg. This ensures that the guide groove used to receive the sliding door is always arranged centrally to the level of the sliding door. This makes it easier to attach the guide element, since it can always be attached to the center of the plane, regardless of the thickness of the sliding door.
- the adjustment to sliding doors of different thicknesses is particularly easy and simple if, according to an advantageous further development, the base body and the guide body have corresponding latching elements. Thus, no laborious adjustment is required, but predetermined material thicknesses can easily be determined by the interacting locking elements.
- the latching elements can be formed particularly easily if, according to a further development according to the invention, the latching elements on the guide tion body consist of a projection and on the base body of several grooves, in which the projection can be used optionally. Depending on the groove used, predetermined sliding door thicknesses can be set easily and quickly.
- the grooves on the base body are provided with markings which indicate the width of the guide groove produced. This saves time during assembly, since the right groove for the respective sliding door thickness can be selected by simply looking at the marking.
- the guide body can preferably be inserted into the base body from below. Unintentional removal is also prevented.
- the underside of the guide body projects slightly beyond the underside of the base body. This ensures that, in the assembled state, the guide body is held in the base body with a prestress, since when the base body is fastened on a surface the guide body is pressed into the base body and is thus held in the base body without play. As a result, even small manufacturing tolerances can be compensated for.
- the two parts of the guide element can be designed as injection molded or die cast parts in a particularly simple and inexpensive manner.
- the materials aluminum, zinc or plastic are particularly popular.

- Figure 4 is a plan view of the guide element according to the invention.
- Figure 5 shows a cross section through the guide element according to the invention.
- Figure 1 shows the guide element 1 according to the invention in its individual parts.
- the guide element 1 consists of a base body 2 and a nem guide body 3, both z. B. can be made of aluminum, zinc or plastic by injection or die casting.
- the base body 2 has an elongated, slightly bulbous shape (see FIG. 3) and is U-shaped in cross section.
- a guide groove 4 is formed between the two legs of the U, in which a sliding door, not shown, in particular an all-glass sliding door, can be guided in a sliding manner.
- the base body 2 is provided with screw holes 5, by means of which the guide element 1 can be fastened to the floor or to a ceiling.
- a circular and essentially centrally arranged receiving opening 6 is provided in the base body 2, into which the guide body 3 can be inserted.
- the guide body 3 is designed as a circular guide sleeve and has a U-shaped cross section.
- the two legs of the U form a guide groove 4 for the sliding door.
- An elevation 7 is provided on each leg of the guide body 3, which preferably extends over the entire height of the leg.
- the two elevations 7 are arranged on the two legs of the guide body 3 in such a way that the elevation 7 of one leg is opposite the elevation 7 of the other leg in a point-symmetrical manner, a center 8 of the circle of the guide body 3 forming the center of symmetry.
- the guide body 3 is designed such that it can be inserted from the bottom side of the base body 2 into a receiving opening 6 of the base body 2. In the inserted state, the legs of the guide body 3 lie parallel to the legs of the base body 2 and, together with these, form the guide groove 4. The guide body 3 can be inserted into the base body 2 in different positions. Depending on the selected position, the elevations 7 on the legs of the guide body 3 project more or less inwards over the legs of the base body 2 and thus vary the width of the guide groove 4.
- corresponding locking elements 9, 10 are formed on the base body 2 and the guide body 3.
- these consist of a projection 9 provided in the region of the underside of the guide body 3 and associated grooves 10 which are provided in the region of the underside of the base body 2.
- four grooves 10 are provided, but there may also be more or fewer as required.
- the grooves 10 are preferably provided with markings or dimensions, not shown, which indicate which guide groove width belongs to which groove 10.
- the four grooves 10 shown in the example shown can, for. B. belong to the guide groove widths 8, 10, 12 and 13.5 mm, so that the grooves 10 are then provided with these dimensions.
- the lower surface of the guide body 3 is slightly, z. B. 0.5 mm, over the lower surface of the base body 2. If the base body 2 is now attached to the floor with the guide body 3 inserted, the guide body 3 is pressed firmly into the base body 2, so that it is held in the base body 2 with tension.
