Abstract

L'objet de l'invention est un procédé consistant à plier et à emballer un sac gonflable d'un airbag rideau, ce procédé pouvant être effectué par des moyens mécaniques. Dans une première étape, on plie le sac en forme d'accordéon, en lui appliquant alternativement les lames verticales de dispositifs à cames, et en maintenant la partie pliée entre les lames des dispositifs à cames et une butée de retenue. Dans une seconde étape, le sac plié est comprimé jusqu'à ce qu'il ait les dimensions adéquates pour le mettre dans une housse. Dans une troisième étape, on introduit le sac plié dans la housse, laquelle est alignée avec le sac plié, enroulée et fixée à l'une de ses extrémités. Le sac est entraîné simultanément vers l'intérieur de la housse et l'extrémité libre de celle-ci.
