Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft transgene Pflanzen mit maskierter Fruchtbarkeit, wobei die maskierte Fruchtbarkeit durch eine veränderte Expression der Nukleinsäuresequenz gemäß SEQ ID NO:2 oder deren Homolog, oder durch die Veränderung der biologischen Aktivität des durch die Nukleinsäuresequenz gemäß SEQ ID NO: 2 oder deren Homolog kodierten Genprodukts hervorgerufen wird. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ferner die regulatorische Nukleinsäuresequenz, die natürlicherweise in Arabidopsis thaliana die Expression des MYB26-Gens steuert. Ferner betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung Verfahren zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen transgenen Pflanzen.
