Заявлена регуляция экспрессии старения у растений путем введения гена или фрагмента гена, кодирующего старение-индуцированную липазу, в растительный геном в антисмысловой ориентации. Идентифицированы гены гвоздики и Arabidopsis, кодирующие старение-индуцированную липазу, и нуклеотидные последовательности, использованные для модификации процесса старения у трансгенных растений.
